House Ape
House Ape

Born in the deep rain-forests of Central Africa, was a chimpanzee named Kevin, who was unlike any other ape in the jungle. While his peers swung from vines and played in the treetops, he was fascinated by a different kind of rhythm. He was entranced by the sound of the rain, the wind in the leaves, and the chirping of birds, but most of all, he loved the beat of the jungle itself. One day, as he sat by a gurgling stream, he found an old, discarded radio. He curiously examined it, pushing buttons and twisting knobs. Suddenly, music blared from the small device. The ape's eyes widened with wonder, and a rush of excitement coursed through him. The rhythmic beats and melodies filled his heart, and he began to dance, swaying to the music with pure joy. The ape's newfound passion for music soon turned into an obsession. He spent hours each day tinkering with the radio, discovering new tunes and rhythms. His fellow chimps watched him with amusement, wondering why he was so captivated by this strange human invention. As days turned into weeks, a fascination evolved into something more profound. He began to experiment with different sounds in the jungle, mimicking the melodies he had heard on the radio. He would beat rocks on tree trunks, clap his hands, and imitate the bird's songs, creating his own unique beats. His affinity for rhythm and melody quickly became evident to his ape companions. They gathered around him as he improvised, and soon they too began to dance to his rhythms. The jungle was alive with the sounds of makeshift music, bringing joy and unity to his fellow chimpanzees. Word of this ape's music soon reached a group of local scientists who were studying primates in the rain-forest. They were amazed by the ape's musical abilities and decided to observe him closely. They left a small record player with a collection of music, and Kevin immediately recognized the device, having heard a similar sound from the old radio he found. The ape's journey into the world of DJ'ing had officially begun. With the record player, he learned to switch records, create unique mixes, and even scratch the vinyl with a twig. The scientists were astonished by the musical prodigy they had discovered. Over time, the Ape's DJ trek took him beyond the rain-forest. In 1988, he began spinning records in Colorado, captivating audiences with fun hooks and beats. And, as years would pass, his DJ path would branch as it held course with his life; thus, taking him to California, Hawaii, Germany, Spain, and China, performing at clubs, raves, and mobile gigs. His unique jungle-inspired beats made the souls of many smile. With the inevitable passage of time, the Ape's life took new turns, but all the same, he never lost touch with his roots. These days, he continues to mix music simply for fun, and to furnish his wife with new stuff to listen to. He often imagines that his poor wife lives with a semi-domesticated ape that roams the house and makes uncouth gestures--the local house ape.

Dewey Decibel
Dewey Decibel

Currently, I am trying to be involved with anything and everything that will take me and my DJing to another level. Radio shows, bookings around the US, and potentially the world. I know this is what you would hear just about any DJ say. I have no intentions of just saying it... If you would like to be part of this adventure and you are willing to book me or air me on your radio station, you can email me @ DeweyDecibel920@gmail.com. For me, it's not about who you know and how amazing you can make yourself look. It's about the vibe, the energy, and the heart and soul of the individual who is presenting it. I promise you, I bring all of that and more every single time I play. My resume of events from the past 25 year is extensive and the talent I have played along side has been legendary. For me, the sky isn't the limit...it's a checkpoint. I am capable of bringing a vibe that you've never seen before and I have no intentions of stopping any time soon. Thank you for stopping by and listening to my passions. Peace, Love, Unity, Respect So, you decided it would be a good idea to click on the picture of a goofy looking dude in light up glasses to learn more about him?!?! Well buckle up buttercup, you are in for a ride!! Dewey Decibel, Owner/Artist of dB Studio in Green Bay, WI is quite an interesting card. Dewey has been mixing since the only way to mix was using 8 tracks. Ha ha! Just kidding... lol He started waaaay back in 1998. He loves to learn new ways of mixing and throwing tracks together but vinyl was always his favourite. Ahhhh, the good 'ol days... But get him behind the decks and he is 100% in his comfort zone. The tunes take over and where a man once stood, a mixing machine is found! Some days you may wonder if the human will ever return because, like the energizer bunny, he just keeps going, and going, and going, and going.... He has also played at the same events as Joey Beltram, Mark EG, Frankie Bones, and George Acosta to name a few. Music fuels him in every aspect of this life. Some would say it controls or takes him over completely, but that's their opinion! (You know who you are in you are reading this!) Give him a genre to mix and he will, in turn, give you something amazing to dance to! House, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Techno, Trance, or Swing house...It doesn't matter, the beat is in his soul! Dewey has also got quite the personality! Half the year he is sporting an, out of control, curly afro. The other half of the year, a buzz cut. However, at all times, he is sporting a GNF (Give no f*cks) attitude. But enough talk... Put on your dancing shoes, prepare for his shoes, and you will see once and for all, who you have been missing out on all these years. The Maniacal Maestro? The Diabolical Dab Hand? Or maybe the The Terrific Tailor of Tunes? We will leave that up to you to decide. But don't sleep on Dumb ass Disco Dewey, (Triple D - First DJ name LoL!!) as he is uniquely entertaining to watch! We will see you in the stream! ***update*** I haven't had a chance to get my mixes separated lately due to converting from Windows to Linux. HOWEVER, I hope you are all ready for the amount of new live sets I will be adding by the end of the week! :) I just want to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to listen to my sets and I hope that they have some how increased your value of life in one way shape or form. THANK YOU ALL!!! You can catch my live streams on Twitch.tv, Kick, DLive, Live.Space, Hearthis.at, Trovo.live, and on FB once and awhile. Search for DeweydBStudio or Dewey Decibel and you should be able to find me. Will have a stable schedule very soon! Also, I will be using Youtube shortly as I would really like to get my renditions of Tech/Bass House, Breaks, Techno, and Drum & Bass out there for people to enjoy. So again, a huge thank you goes out to all of you and stay tuned for some new mix sets coming shortly! Much love and respect!!

Remember when DJ sets were musical journeys? Before it was... "how many top 10 remixes, samples, and shit can I fit into a 55 minute festival set demo mix"?? That's back when I got into DJing, and that's how I still do it. Often 1-2+ hours, made as a complete package. Not much glitz and glam. No defined genre bounds. The way it used to be. Heavy bass. Deep kicks. Infectious rhythms. Timeless melodies. Sprinkle in some vocals. Put on high volume. Rinse and repeat. Coming to you from the neon glow of Las Vegas, I am just a Midwestern 90's rave kid who happened to keep a shitload of vinyls after being forced out into the real world. I took so much time finding these records through good old fashioned vinyl mining. Would be a shame if every last one wasn't heard. So here they are...

Exit-Point
Exit-Point

Exit Point's passion for the music began in the early 90s, a fan of the Madchester sound of The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays, from here, his musical tastes shifted to the underground Rave sounds of the mid 90's after being introduced to a mixtape by a friend. This led to Exit becoming an avid listener of the local pirate stations, Mix FM, Fresh FM (Leicester) & Kool FM (Birmingham). This keenness further led Exit to take up DJ'ing, initially with a pair of Soundlab belt drives & a Numark mixer. Exit got into the Jungle sound in 1994 and would buy his vinyl from the legendary 5HQ shop in Leicester.
