I’ve always loved music. I use songs to remember people, moments, and chapters of my life. From early childhood, I developed an instinctive feel for how music is built, and over the years that natural understanding grew without me even realising it. I became the family DJ, which was no small feat (considering how demanding my family can be) and then I pushed myself to sharpen my skills even more.With my West Indian background, Reggae in all its forms (Mento, Ska, Rock Steady, Lovers Rock, Dancehall) is second nature. Growing up in London added another layer, giving me a deep appreciation for electronic sounds (80s Dance, Pop, Drum & Bass, Jungle, UK Garage, House). I’m also a huge fan of American music, from Classic Soul and R&B to Funk, Rare Grooves, New Jack Swing, Hip Hop, Rap, Trap, Jazz, and even Country. I have two Dennon HS5500 which is like having 4 turntables since you can play 2 tracks from the same player along with a DJM-600-K PIONEER MIXER. aahhh You don't want to know!!!! but mostly my own home made mixes specially done for the party I do. I like to do a "show" of what people have requested ahead of time so I like to make a mix or two with extra effects and get rid of all the boring intros and outros that sometimes seem they go forever. I am a paralegal in the day time. I have been working there for 16 years and I ;also do hair in the evenings. I ;love cutting hair and doing "Glamour" make up. ; Also, I ;dj on the weekends mainly for "fundraiser". I ;like to help people that are suffering from Alzheimers since my dad was just diagnosed with it, I also do it for people with Cancer and Aids by donating my time and money. My dad was a musician all his life so I have the music in me but as I was growing up I loved to hear really high energy disco, and then tribal, techno, rave but I now enjoy the diva house music with a touch of tribal touch.

DJ MC Mello has dedicated over 35 years to his craft as a DJ, starting in the mid-1980s. His repertoire includes a diverse range of genres, from Dance and House to Rock, Disco, and Old-school, among others. Born in London and actually living in Madrid [Spain]. I had been listening & involved with music for more than 50 Years from now. Since I was a child I grew up listening classic Opera & easy listening Artists. That´s probably the reason why I appreciate music in general very much & helped trained my ear since then. I Love many different genres & have a great music collection in my personal discoteque. Good recordings are mostly essencial for me. I started challenging and proving I could create any genre Mixes without the use of expensive & professional controllers no pre-phone involved, only with the use of my ears, & my wonderful PC as tools. Today I use my Pioneer Pro controller to Mix all sessions in a one & only take. I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. Music has been a place of inner peace and I hope you enjoy my sharing of it! Born and Raised in NYC and now in the ATL. I have been mixing since I was 14 years old. As a young fella I can remember watching DJ Starski, Grandmaster Flash, Kool Herc, DJ The Red Alert to name a few hooking their equipment to the lamp poles in the parks in the South Bronx and Harlem it was on. The MCs were hyping or moving the crowd for the Deejays. When I moved from the Bronx to Queens, I joined the Gemini Crew and I was DJ Johnny Quick on the 1 and 2 with the cross fader. My Dad owned a night club in Brooklyn, so music was everywhere. As I got older and started going to the club scene in NYC there was one DJ that was such a technician and I often called him a Scientist the Legendary DJ Larry Levan famous for the Paradise Garage. He told a story when he mixed -- depending on current events, highs and lows in the City. As a DJ we must feel the mode and pulse on the crowd and provide them with a theme...
