Since I was 14 years old I really love perfect mixing! As DJ Da Wick I started in the early 80s with soulful & funky tunes. And then house music stept into my life. Boom - what is that? Marshall Jefferson, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk, Jesse Saunders and others changed my stile of music. All these Traxx on DJ International or Trax Records were absolutely out of space. Thank God I could be part of that time "when house music was born". And than it came Acid, Deep House, Soulful House and all that good stuff. It was an incredible time and i was allowed to experience it. In the late 80th, 90th & 2000th I was resident DJ in different clubs in Germany. One of it was the famous Checker's Club in Düsseldorf. Here I played for Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klump or Mick Hucknall from Simply Red. I will always remember that time. Now I'm doing some mixes from time to time just for the love of music. (Still everything in key and in beat, of course.) HAVE A LISTEN AND YOU WILL HAVE FUN !!! Introduction: Mister TOM working as D.J. since 1985 known as D.J. TOM before. Over the decades he worked at some well known clubs around Germany in the 80ies and 90ies until 2003. Between 2004 and 2013 he was the producer of mixes for, in Germany well known internet radio station called "Hitfunradio". Music has been a place of inner peace and I hope you enjoy my sharing of it! Born and Raised in NYC and now in the ATL. I have been mixing since I was 14 years old. As a young fella I can remember watching DJ Starski, Grandmaster Flash, Kool Herc, DJ The Red Alert to name a few hooking their equipment to the lamp poles in the parks in the South Bronx and Harlem it was on. The MCs were hyping or moving the crowd for the Deejays. When I moved from the Bronx to Queens, I joined the Gemini Crew and I was DJ Johnny Quick on the 1 and 2 with the cross fader. My Dad owned a night club in Brooklyn, so music was everywhere. As I got older and started going to the club scene in NYC there was one DJ that was such a technician and I often called him a Scientist the Legendary DJ Larry Levan famous for the Paradise Garage. He told a story when he mixed -- depending on current events, highs and lows in the City. As a DJ we must feel the mode and pulse on the crowd and provide them with a theme...

Been a Disc Jockey for close to 40 years. I worked clubs in NY/Long Island & Florida working some of the best clubs during their times. If you're familiar with Long Island, back in the late 70's and early 80's I worked every OBI which their were 3 of them. The one in Hamptons was outrageous during the summers as it was the place to be. Spinning in front of 1500 to 2000 people every Friday & Saturday night was a blast. Sunday afternoons was mind blowing.By time the mid to late 80's came around my favorite genre was Latin Freestyle. The music was smoking hot!! I had a 4 year run at this club in Bayshore called Club Paradise from 1985-1989. One thing about latino's they know how to party!!!. I had every track act in this club which only had a 600 capacity. To date it was by far the best club I ever worked. Hanging out with the likes of Stevie B, The Cover Girls, TKA, George Lamond Judy Torres & my favorite female freestyle artist, Cynthia was a trip. The music was real. The crowds partied real hard & to this day I still enjoy the music. Every now & then I pull out the autographed pictures from all the artists that I broke in this club and I smile thinking about the memories. I hung up the headphones a few years back & only break them out to do a classic disco or freestyle night. I also appreciate real good house music with piano grooves and riffs.

I've been DJing since the early 80s and have always had a passion for dance music. When Covid killed the events industry in 2020, I've been creating DJ friendly edits of songs I enjoy and songs I play at events just to help me from going crazy. I hope you enjoy them.
