My journey as a DJ began in the UK, sparked by my first clubbing experience where I was captivated by a DJ's ability to blend tracks effortlessly. This moment ignited my passion for music and motivated me to embark on a career in DJing. I took my first steps in 2007 by downloading a free legal version of Virtual DJ, which allowed me to mix live online and experiment with various genres. Addicted to music since the age of 15, listening to it, playing it, and enjoying it to the fullest! I took my first steps in the world of free radio with music styles such as New Wave, New Beat, and later more danceable styles such as Garage, Disco, Soul, and Funk. My music style produced the necessary decibels through many speakers in living rooms, organized parties, and discotheques/clubs. FABIAN JAKOPETZ - DJ, producer, remixer, from Croatia, Zagreb (20 years of music experience) STYLES: Techno, Techouse, House, Minimal, Progressive BIOGRAPHY: As a child he played a guitar in various bands, but he haven't found his way in expressing by live instruments. He was influenced by his older brother who was listening to electronic music from it's start, so that's the source of his beginning. As a minor has started his music career under the name DJ Dechko and practically overnight he achieves success at the local electronic music scene. In that time he has performed on most major projects and programs in Croatia. These performances enabled him massive exposure and permanent connection with the audience where he gained his experience where he achieved a great sense for floor-feeling which he uses to satisfy dancing and smiling ravers on the dance floor. Styles that he dynamicly plays are a sort of eclectic fusion of Techno, Techouse, House, Progressive and Minimal music, although in creative moments he likes to surprise his crowd with some other stuff not linked to these genres. In parallel with DJ career, he started to do production of electronic music, but through years of musical experience, he gained confidence and courage to send his music to labels that in 2009 resulted with the first release in colaboration with Damir Pushkar for the legendary Bonzai Records. This release broke the ice of his career, which was since then in absolute growth, and results by new releases on large and world famous labels, such as: Yin Yang Records, Elektrax Recordings, Baroque Records, Bonzai Music, Decide Music Concept, Sony Music Entertainment, Funk'n Deep Records, Whartone Records, Le bien et le mal, ZYX Music, Sound of Acapulco, Hamburg Aufnahmen, Punch Underground and many more. Born in the deep rain-forests of Central Africa, was a chimpanzee named Kevin, who was unlike any other ape in the jungle. While his peers swung from vines and played in the treetops, he was fascinated by a different kind of rhythm. He was entranced by the sound of the rain, the wind in the leaves, and the chirping of birds, but most of all, he loved the beat of the jungle itself. One day, as he sat by a gurgling stream, he found an old, discarded radio. He curiously examined it, pushing buttons and twisting knobs. Suddenly, music blared from the small device. The ape's eyes widened with wonder, and a rush of excitement coursed through him. The rhythmic beats and melodies filled his heart, and he began to dance, swaying to the music with pure joy. The ape's newfound passion for music soon turned into an obsession. He spent hours each day tinkering with the radio, discovering new tunes and rhythms. His fellow chimps watched him with amusement, wondering why he was so captivated by this strange human invention. As days turned into weeks, a fascination evolved into something more profound. He began to experiment with different sounds in the jungle, mimicking the melodies he had heard on the radio. He would beat rocks on tree trunks, clap his hands, and imitate the bird's songs, creating his own unique beats. His affinity for rhythm and melody quickly became evident to his ape companions. They gathered around him as he improvised, and soon they too began to dance to his rhythms. The jungle was alive with the sounds of makeshift music, bringing joy and unity to his fellow chimpanzees. Word of this ape's music soon reached a group of local scientists who were studying primates in the rain-forest. They were amazed by the ape's musical abilities and decided to observe him closely. They left a small record player with a collection of music, and Kevin immediately recognized the device, having heard a similar sound from the old radio he found. The ape's journey into the world of DJ'ing had officially begun. With the record player, he learned to switch records, create unique mixes, and even scratch the vinyl with a twig. The scientists were astonished by the musical prodigy they had discovered. Over time, the Ape's DJ trek took him beyond the rain-forest. In 1988, he began spinning records in Colorado, captivating audiences with fun hooks and beats. And, as years would pass, his DJ path would branch as it held course with his life; thus, taking him to California, Hawaii, Germany, Spain, and China, performing at clubs, raves, and mobile gigs. His unique jungle-inspired beats made the souls of many smile. With the inevitable passage of time, the Ape's life took new turns, but all the same, he never lost touch with his roots. These days, he continues to mix music simply for fun, and to furnish his wife with new stuff to listen to. He often imagines that his poor wife lives with a semi-domesticated ape that roams the house and makes uncouth gestures--the local house ape.
