DJ MOKKSHA, or simply MOKKSHA, as he is known by his fans and in the clubbing scene - is one of the hottest DJ, RJ, Remixer and Music producer on the music scene in India. Started on his musical journey in 2008, he has travelled across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South East Asia in addition to his regular tours across India. Stay tuned for his original productions, remixes, mashups and of course his ever-popular PODCASTS in 7 different musical genres. Very few people know that his real name is Shaun and he started out studying Economics (Honors), at the prestigious St. Stephen's College, in New Delhi, India. With time he realized his passion was in music and not a regular full time office job. He started learning DJing and even bought equipment for his home studio - starting with the Pioneer DJM 600 and a CMX3000 and then upgrading to the CDJ 1000 MKIII's and a DJM 800. With a formidable collection of over 20,000 tracks in his collection from genres ranging from Bollywood to House, Hip Hop, Trance, Pop and Retro he has a track for every situation and for everyone. His most recent release includes the super hit Electro House track, "Take Me Higher Baby", which has got acclaim from several of the leading and smaller DJ's and Producers in India and abroad. His other Bollywood remixes include the super famous "Choli Ke Peeche" Rock Remix, and remixes from all the latest Bollywood movies over the past few years. MOKKSHA has played Bollywood and House for top Radio stations in India such as RED Fm, Radio Mirchi, Fever FM, Radio City, among others. He has rocked events across India and Middle East, UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and USA. His recent events in the USA for the promotion of Bollywood movie "My Name is Khan" was a massive success. Some of the clubs he has played for include, 10D, Saphire, Fire & Ice Lounge, F-Bar and Lounge, Spin, Twister, Zouk, Agni, Leopard Lounge, The Jungle, Laser, Enigma, Bluu, Aquatica, Tantra, Vision etc. MOKKSHA, is currently rebuilding his recording and home studio in New Delhi, which is a major step for the new plans and dreams he has for his future musical dreams. With upgrades to new studio equipment from Akai, Ableton, Reason, Cubase, M-Audio, Novation and NI, and high end computing systems from Apple and the new Intel Core 17 Extreme system he is gearing up to produce the FUTURE sound of Bollywood and EDM music in India.
