I have been involved in music literally all my life. Starting from the source, born into the family business of Latin Percussion(LP) the world leader in Afro-Cuban percussion musical instruments later the final step, curating music in a nightclub I owned. My family’s home was a musical dreamland, frequented by musical luminaries, Patato Valdez, Tito Puente, even Dizzy Gillespie, the list is endless. Bembe’s in the basement smoking through the night were not uncommon. At the age of 15 years I engineered a record album Carlos Patato Valdes “Bata Y Rumba”. My years dedicated to the family business, had me focusing on the details of sound. I was enamored with R&D, the idea that a musical instrument I invented would be enjoyed by millions of people around the world captured my soul. In 1995 I got involved in Soulful House, I embraced this new music and found my “sound”, soulful, percussive, interesting song structures with strong African and Latin influences. www.fb.me/WayneDeepSoul

Hi Everyone . I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. A very active member of Deep House community, Berkand is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, amateur pianist, and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. La intención es publicar en este canal diferentes sesiones inspiradas en las músicas que durante tantos años bailé y mostré como dj.Todo comenzó en 1995 en el legendario Sketch Club en el que fui residente durante tres años. Como Dj Dab Maia, durante mas de veinte años he estado pinchando en diferentes locales y festivales de Canarias, sobre todo en la isla de Tenerife, y en la ciudad de La Laguna, donde vivo. Otras residencias que duraron unos años fueron la del Txola de La Laguna y Club Musa de Santa Cruz. Participé en varias ocasiones en festivales dedicados a la difusión de músicas del mundo como Diversity, Tensamba, Mumes y Tránsitos. También he hecho radio, y del 2012 al 2017 fundé y dirigí el sello Kalma Records, apoyando y distribuyendo la música de más de ciento cincuenta músicos y productores tanto de las Islas Canarias, como nacionales e internacionales.
