DJ MC Mello has dedicated over 35 years to his craft as a DJ, starting in the mid-1980s. His repertoire includes a diverse range of genres, from Dance and House to Rock, Disco, and Old-school, among others. He has graced venues such as "The Scratch," "Club Crescent," and "Club Ozone" in downtown Montreal. Today, he continues to entertain as a mobile DJ for "Sound Express." DJ JD has spent the past two decades building an impressive resume by immersing himself in the club and private event sectors. He developed his love of DJ’ing through the versatile musical influences whilst growing up. He couldn't wait to get behind the decks and put into practice what he had learned. Starting his career as a DJ rocking the house parties back in Johannesburg - South Africa, he explored various styles and genres with a focus on dance, hip hop and RnB. JD began creating his own fusion of house and party vibes for clubs and private venues whilst executing demands of the dance floors. From weddings to clubs and cocktail bars to private events JD ignites his passion for music and sounds from the far reaches of the globe. His adolescent years were spent challenging the resident DJs of well established night clubs to DJ battles where he gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of reading the crowds. With an extensive music collection ranging from golden oldies to the latest pop and charts and with subscriptions to record labels JD is able to keep his music repertoire fresh and current.
