House is this strange cooking of different flavours, able to make Loleatta Holloway sing on strings loop from Tchaïkovski's Concerto N°1, backed by the "Let no man put asunder" bassline from First Choice and the "Let's all chant" disco beat from Michael Zager Band. And it works. Bon appétit ! Back to 88, when I've discovered House music, with the first british House tracks (Beatmasters, S-Express...) made with sampling technique, followed by the brillant 90's Garage productions by the late Godfather Frankie Knuckles. A golden era. All those pionneers have built my inspiration. That's the reason why my tracks mix Garage harmonies with sampling collage coming from my collection of oldies and classic records (disco, funk, soul, classical music, etc.)

I've been DJing since the early 80s and have always had a passion for dance music. When Covid killed the events industry in 2020, I've been creating DJ friendly edits of songs I enjoy and songs I play at events just to help me from going crazy. I hope you enjoy them. Hi Everyone . I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Not a lot to say! Got on the Soul Train and found the Funk back in '76/77. A couple of SL1200's came along in the mid 90's and I joined the thousands of "bedroom DJ's" knocking a few tracks together and making mixtapes. Twenty odd years later and still doing the same thing now! Expect a few car crashes along the way, but hopefully you'll enjoy what you hear. DJ Kevian originally from Bournemouth started as a DJ on 2CR Bournemouth before moving to Australia in 1987. Working as a radio DJ on 100FM in Western Australia DJ Kevian quickly made a name for himself managing a radio show called Scratch FM playing underground British dance music. Playing in top clubs across Australia DJ Kevian has won the Western Australian DJ Championship and has been a guest DJ with music artists such as Tone Loc and Boy George. The British born DJ became famous for mixing a unique blend of dance music and went on to remix for Red Hot Chilli Peppers tour of Australia. Having previously lectured as the head of multimedia at SAE College in Perth, Western Australia DJ Kevian is now back in Bournemouth, England producing his own dance music.
