I first discovered electronic dance music during the 80s and have been completly hooked ever since. No other music effects me on an emotional scale like edm.I learned to watch out for dance tracks that were in the charts during the 80s and record them on old cassette tapes, around the early Acid House era.My next big leap in the dance music scene was when my cousin played me a dj mix by a guy who id soon come to worship-the now legendary Goa mix by Paul Oakenfold.Amazing and my addiction grew.i listened constantly to his mixes on the Essential Mix and began searching for djs that played similar styles. That was when i discovered Sasha,John Digweed,Nick Warren and the whole Global Underground phenomena & thats when i bought my first set of decks,18yrs on,im still dj'ing and with clubbing trips to Ibiza,Aiya Napa & of course most sat nights in Belfast im still addicted.Trance and Progressive House has changed down the years but my passion for those euphoric hands in the air moments hasnt. My favourite djs are Above & Beyond,i have seen them on a number of occasions and met them twice(top blokes),Jaytech,Jacob Henry and Proff. These guys are rocking my world at the minute and their sounds have helped me through some difficult times in my life and i hope they will continue to do so.NO DANCE MUSIC=NO LIFE :-)

Technics SL-1200's MK2, SHURE M44-7-H Carts, Numark M3 anolog Mixer, Records, Sound Forge. Digital mixes are created using Adobe Audition. I regrettably sold all my dance records about 18 years ago (very hard times, I guess!) and there were some right bangers in the collection. I'm sure the person who bought them at the time is laughing now! However, my collection has got back to where it was which includes not just dance music but hip hop, soul, funk and reggae. The first record I owned was 'Roxanne Shante go on girl', given to me by my dad, which I still have. I taught myself how to mix on a new AKai Midi Hi-Fi system (1988) where I figured out that placing the select switch in between Phono and Tape (obviously not designed for that) meant both a tape and a record played at the same time on the midi system. As vinyl back then usually had the same tempo on the A side as well as the B side I was able to make a recording of the vinyls A side using the midi tape deck, play the tape back on the midi system and mix it in with the records B side (with the help of my magic Akai switcher). Yep, you guessed it, scratchin that Akai deck to the death!! After that (1989, year of the funky drummer!) I was lucky enough to be bought a pair of brand new Technics 1210's, with the addition of a 5 channel Soundlad Mixer (Total cost £700). I wish I still had those original decks, but sadly, the decks got broke! Shit happens eh!! Although I gave up the all nighters many years ago, I still have a passion for music in many respects, e.g., listening, mixing, playing and producing it. Music is a universal language, and like John Lennon said 'Music is everybody's possession. It's only publishers who think that people own it". I've re uploaded some mixes so they can be played on here. All mixes are of excellent mp3 quality and provide the best sound played through a hi-fidelity sound system with the addition of graphical equalizer. Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoy :)

i started djing at 16 after months of begging the parents for months to buy me some 1210s,which i still use today going strong.my passion in music has to be old school piano, retro and vocal funky house if you cant sing to it then its no good lol.in the early nineties i started going clubbing, and for me to this day was the best for music.when i first got my 1210s i had no intension of djing in clubs it was just a hobby for and for my own enjoyment.i was actually tricked by a fellow dj and good friend who was already djing in clubs, when he phoned me up one thurday night and said he was ill and needed me to help him out and play at a bar for him,to which i found out later it was actually a dj competition to which he entered me and to my surprise i won to which the prize was residency at bradfords biggest dance club which pulled 700 to 800 in every friday and saturday night,my first night djing in the club was christmas eve which was packed out and i was shitting it,it was a big difference mixing some tracks in the bedroom and then to bid audience but i absolutely loved it and was hooked, and so my djing career was born. within the first year things went from strength to strength playing in numerous clubs all over yorkshire and holding down residencys and playing alongside some of the biggest names in the country (alister whitehead,k klass, paul taylor just to name a few) i was more known as a dj for my old school sets and so i was made a resident for retro which took me to ibiza djing at eden and loved every minute. in the mid 2000s i began working with a fellow dj (adam g) at a place called bar me which was just a bar not a club, but in the first 6 months playing there the profits soared 700% and went from a free bar and having to pay in on the door,so we sat down and thought were on to a winner here and decided to brand our own night and event, and so worship was born. our brand of night went from strength to strength holding down rooms at space, gatecrasher, visage and ethios, garlands and many more,we even ended up with our own radio show on a friday night on dvm radio (dance vinyll masters). i think the reason our night worked so well was because we didnt brand it as one style of music it was straight across the board,if it was a classic then it got played. in 2008 we decided to pull the brand as we both wanted to persue over interests,i decided to take a break from djing as it got to a stage where i stopped enjoying it and felt more of a chore going to work instead of doing something i loved. so now im back, loving my music more then ever and back on the scene :-)
