technic`s decks (old skool)allen&heath xone32 , long live vinyl everything !with a deep funky tribal vibe hi, i have been producing/writing tunes for over 20yrs,under the name Medicine Man , i have been djing on the underground club scene since ,(THE SUMMER OF LOVE!!!), as DJ HOUSEDOCTOR. I have always been around music since those heady days of stop/start taping of pirate radio stations....(very useful for developing editing techniques.)...Early influences were moog based /synth sounds ,fat baselines,and rhythm guitar licks ,eg nile rodgers,brass construction ,fatback,bootzy collins,and of course the late great GODFATHER OF SOUL.(JAMES BROWN)...basically anything WITH FUNK!...Then came ELECTRO,again synth based sounds ,eg gary newman,kraftwerk,omd,new order........... dj..d @various underground parties,M.O.S . ibiza..GIVE/H.O.H/ TENDER/FLY/KIMBERLEY/GOLDEN DELICIOUS/SUNNY-SIDE UP/MY FRONT ROOM,MY WEDDING!DARBY&JOAN, ET AL . musical influences again very varied ,love , breaks,deep house, melodic trance,funky house,trippy d`n`b,and, and .... basically everything !! which hopefully is reflected in my tunes ! .i also must mention Laurent webb (wubble u),whom is not only a great friend ,but has helped me enormously, with regards developing my studio skills .....! luv ya......xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ; timewriter.terry lee brown.olivier lieb.roberto rodrigues.joris voorn,leftfield,way out west,orbital,and radioslave.....

My introduction to deep house and all things free party couldn't have been better - 1994 and Smokescreen Sound system. As soon as I heard that first mix tape and knew I'd found what I'd been looking for musically at last! After going to club nights, parties and shindigs in secret locations for about 8 years I knew although I loved getting on down to that deep groove, that I wanted to participate by laying down the wax. So then in 2001/2 I embarked on an adventure with dual CD decks at first for a year - what an apprenticeship that was! Citronix decks with just 2 buttons per deck for cueing backwards and forwards - no jog wheel! What a nightmare! However, after actually getting that to work after a year, when I then bought my first pair of Technics 1200 Mk 2's, mixing was so much easier and came naturally after all the messing about pressing cue buttons! Next I had to find someone to let me play. That's where my dear friend Carl Kaotic and Wireless Soundsystem entered! DJ MC Mello has dedicated over 35 years to his craft as a DJ, starting in the mid-1980s. His repertoire includes a diverse range of genres, from Dance and House to Rock, Disco, and Old-school, among others. He has graced venues such as "The Scratch," "Club Crescent," and "Club Ozone" in downtown Montreal. Today, he continues to entertain as a mobile DJ for "Sound Express."
