Armed with a great knowledge and passion for black music in all its forms from a very early age (Soul, Jazz, Funk, House, Electro, Hip Hop), he has been resident DJ in the most emblematic clubs in Sevilla: Bestiario, Catedral, BuBus. His purpose as a DJ has always been to show the public all that unknown dance music, staying away from orthodox sounds.His career begins in 1997, remixing a track for Sindicato del Crimen. Thanks to this remix he releases “Mondofonk” with Boozo Records, legendary Spanish label belonging to DJ Tony Rox. From that moment on, his music is included in several compilations, such as TARIFA GROOVE SESSIONS, CAFÉ SOLAIRE, he begins to produce local new soul artists such as Diargi, Nalaya, and , composes the music for the SONY Spain advertising campaign, combining all this with live performances in festivals such as SONAR 99 and ESPARRAGO 2000. His latest release, BACK TO BASICS, released with Andy Compton’s PENG RECORDS in the UK is a symbiosis of all this musical restlessness accumulated over the years. It combines the essence of electronica and 80’s funk with the new conceptions of New Jazz, House, and Hip Hop. House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. Currently using computer software and planning to upgrade soon. Soulful House is my first Love,now South African House music is just on another level, Deep House is also up there on my list. I also love mixing pure Kwaito music. Have just recently started venturing into other House genres that I find interesting. Born and bred in the old RS of A, former Transkei which is now the Eastern Cape. Spent all my life there until 2001 when I had to move to Cape Town in search of employment. Moved to Gauteng 2002 where I'm currently residing. I was born in 1963 in Liege ( Belgium ) and i djing since 1979. I organized different party's with friends and we had a lot of fun. In 1980 i had my chance to play in clubs and i started to mix like crasy my favorite music FUNK ( Melba Moore, Evelyn King , Glen Jones , D-Train , Zapp , Cameo , Brass construction , Earth Wind and Fire , Kashif , Michael Jackson , Oliver Cheateam , One Way , Sos Band , Mtume , George Benson , Luther Vandross , Reddings, Lakeside , Pleasure, Whispers , Kurtis Blow , Sugarill Gang , James Brown and the JB's ...and many others ) ; I have about 6000 records , they are like gold to me. In 1985 , i moved in The Netherlands to play in a club called The Dj Inn in Maastricht and i had a great time and lots of friends. I felt so good there that i refused to play in Spain , Paris , Italy and U.S.A In 1991 i decided to stop to play in clubs because it was for me a bad musical time. I still played at special disco funk events and in my garage , you have to know that i stand op with music and i go sleep with music... and my wife... I restarted in 2001 with a dutch disco group , we used to play everywhere in The Netherlands. Now i enjoy a lot to mix again.
