He began his career in Johannesburg during the height of the rave scene in the 1990s, honing his skills and developing his unique style. With his wealth of experience and technical expertise, dj-TASK is sure to keep the dance floor alive with his dynamic and high-energy performances.

Exit Point's passion for the music began in the early 90s, a fan of the Madchester sound of The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays, from here, his musical tastes shifted to the underground Rave sounds of the mid 90's after being introduced to a mixtape by a friend. This led to Exit becoming an avid listener of the local pirate stations, Mix FM, Fresh FM (Leicester) & Kool FM (Birmingham).This keenness further led Exit to take up DJ'ing, initially with a pair of Soundlab belt drives & a Numark mixer. Exit got into the Jungle sound in 1994 and would buy his vinyl from the legendary 5HQ shop in Leicester.

(R.I.P.) ; Came back to Texas and Some how wound up at the Winter Music Conference in 2001( Havent been the same since) I got the opportunity to visit the Shelter in NYC 2002 LOST ;MY ;MIND! For the last couple of years I've been fortunate enough to have DJ'ing as my full time job, doing +200 gigs a year. I adapt my mixing according to the genres and expectations from the crowd, but I always try to build an atmosphere that take my audience to some kind of euphoric happiness. Straight forward mixing doesn't leave much room for errors but when it's tight. it's beautiful. I like progress and I embrace new technology as long as knowledge and skill is what's behind the use of it. Here, I can listen to all your nice uploads and get inspired to learn new stuff. I play a lot of funk/soul/disco originals and only manual mixing does it as you have to ''feel'' the mixes to get 'em right. That's why I never use sync 'n' rarely the quantize function. All my mixes are made in one take. No editing. I prepare my music, not my mixes. What you hear, is what you can expect to hear when I play live. Unless something critical happens, I don't restart the recording. Some people don't agree with me in this, but for me to do it in another way, would be like cheating to my customers. So yes, there will be errors once in a while and that's how it is. There's no start overs in real live gigs, and that's what I practice for. You who take your time to listen to my mixes here, are just as important to me as the crowd in a venue, so I put the same focus in my mixes as I do on live gigs. Equipment Current Gear: Mixer: DJM-900Nxs2, DJM-2000, DJM-800, DJM-450, DJM-250 CD-player: 2 CDJ-2000Nxs2, 2 XDJ-700, All-In-One: XDJ-R1/Laptop/iPad Controller: DDJ-RB. Missing: 2 Technics 1210's with Ortofon Stylus nightclub Most of my gear are also used in various DJ workshops, and I'm old enough to see the sentimental value of the gear I've been using over the years :) . Every piece bring back memory's of long gone clubs and people I've met and got to know.
