Welcome all, to “love and best of music”, where we try to share the best of all genres to fit all tastes. Permit me to share a little about my history, and how `love and best of music’ came to be and its aim. Firstly, allow me introduce myself…. I am `DJ Chonka’… a gentleman of slightly older years (Very late 40s early 50s), who has amassed a fondness for quality sounds along with a few grey hairs. Having the fortuitous luck to have been born in the early 70s, I was blessed to have been surrounded by great music, introduced in my early years, by my mother (shout out to mum, love your posts on the Love and best of music’ Facebook Group), influenced by such an eclectic array of sounds. Ranging from Reggie’ (Reggae), soul, Motown, to funk, gospel,!synth-pop, and the likes of Bryan Ferry and the brilliance of Kraftwerk from the 70s early 80s… alas, there are far too many to mention. Those influences paid me in good stead for my formative years, as I learned more about my own musical tastes i.e., mid-80s electro (shout out to the b-boys and the b-girls out there living the dream), then comes the mid to late 80s early 90s, and the start of the second summer of love for the UK, with electronic dance music and the indie scene kicking in. I was a young man who fully embraced the music of the times such as Frankie knuckles, Marshal Jefferson and a guy called Gerald. It was the early 90s rave scene, breaks (Breakbeat), big beat, rock, among others, where i had the opportunity to try my hand at mixing on the `1s and 2s’ (decks), mainly breaks with the odd bit of big beat, trip hop and techno. Whilst being privileged to see some great bands perform at festivals during the same years. Which leads us to about 5-6 years ago, where the first seeds of the love and best of music’ were planted. Social media had given me an opportunity to share my love for music with friends and friends to be (as they say “a stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet”). So not only could I post my favourite tunes and mixes with everyone who loves music, but they too would have a platform to share their favourite music or influences, even their own mixes, or maybe even a composition or two of their own. 2022 is an all-new beginning for the love and best of music’…. We now have a YouTube, Mixcloud and Twitch channel, where you can find the best in all genres of music to fit all tastes, we will be live streaming on each of those platforms. Tokiboun was born in France in 1988, and discovered the world of free parties in 2004 with soud systems from Franche-Comté “INCOMPLET SOUND SYSTEM”(FR) and “LE CITRON VERT”(FR). In 2006, out of passion for the music, he buys two groove boxes”Korg Electribe ESX1 & Em-1″ in order to create a Drum’n'Tribe live act with bewitching melodies. Attracted to all styles of music, in 2008, he rediscovers psychedelic trance in Switzerland at Goa’Uld united, Kucrapok and Biolive parties. In 2010 he buys 2 vynil players Numark TTX and starts Djing trance music, keeping a foot in Jungle/Electro Dub music. In 2011 he creates the Esprit du Son organization and, in 2013, puts together 4 parties and a festival with artists such as Hyper Frequencies, Psyberpunk, Xt-Ric, Mercury Fall, Uforik, Spiral hand, Tetra Hydro K, Phaz M Dub Zanet, L-xir, Beatrider, Synop6, PIC-PIC, etc. He also starts the Blair Reddish project which is an extatic dance project where he mixes chill-out and ambient music. Blair being gone, he continues the project with Véronique Gasse once a month. In 2013, he falls in love with psytrance melodies and starts mixing this style of music as part of the Leitmotiv Sound crew from Franche-Comté, and joins forces with Moonloop Records in 2014. Authentic character brimming with joie de vivre and willing to share his music, he particularly love melodic psytrance and brings you in a journey the time of a DJ set toward another universe. He travels all around the french part of Switzerland and occasionally he crosses borders as well to make crowds dance on the dancefloor! Andy Bassland (real name Andris Lazdāns, also known as Trebland) is a DJ and producer. Music has been an important part of his life since early childhood. In 2000 Andy took his first steps performing in culture houses, schools and private events in Latgale and Ogre. Some years later Andy Bassland (known as DJ land at the time) had made a collection of CDs with house, trance and progressive, and started playing in Preili as well as other places in Latvia. Already some years later he was one of the leaders of the DJ associations – DN Promo and Tab - Lifter™. 2007 DJ Land started actively organizing electronic music events, producing records and making remixes of popular songs in Latvia, thus becoming more popular and recognized in the Latvian DJ community. In the second half of 2009 he created a project – Trebland. Its aim is to release remixes in foreign countries. Andy cooperates with other DJs and producers thus gaining more experience in the field.

El Schabat Started with vinyl ...100% vinyl of course ;-). after some mixing experience and fun fun fun I started doing this with midi-controllers sending messages programming days and night untill it worked and did what I want them to do! via allen & heath's xone 2d xone 1d and a xone 42 in between. Novations launchpad and its LED give visual feedback from traktor pro 2 status. I am happy to see the new allen &heath k2 in february 2012. have fun with the mixes and thx for your feedback 4/4 and never stop this! el schabat ( ... ? ... )
