Mikey G, notorious for his hard-hitting, unique sets, is a DJ from Birmingham, now living in Leicester, UK. Mikey grew up listening to a wide variety of dance music and was heavily influenced by the bass heavy music being played around the midlands. He gained a huge interest in Drum & Bass, Garage and Speed Garage. Having been to hundreds of dance events, he decided to learn to DJ himself and began honing his skills, and was soon booked to play at local club nights. He started playing at various Drum & Bass events around the UK and supported numerous big name DJ’s across the scene. He became interested in ‘Jackin House’ and ‘House & Bass’, new styles of music giving a fresh twist on the Garage tunes he grew up listening to. He began DJ’ing at events regularly across the Midlands and as his popularity grew, so did his busy Dj’ing schedule - which is now frequently jam-packed, playing for many various club nights in the House and D&B scene. In August 2015 Mikey was asked to play at the closing party at Summerfest, a world leading skydive event in Chicago USA. After delivering a 6hr non-stop marathon set, he didn't disappoint! Mikey regularly posts live mixes on his Soundcloud page which have gained a large world-wide audience and are eagerly anticipated by many. Fiasco resident Ed Marco has been involved in the Glasgow club scene since the late nineties. His signature sounds is an upbeat blend of deep, jackin, techy funk and he regularly travels the world playing along side some of the biggest names in the underground house scene, such as Mark Farina, DJ Heather, Johnny Fiasco, Miss Honey Dijon, Inland Knights, Jason Hodges and Phil Weeks to name but a few. Ed also hosts the "Fiasco On Air" radio show, a worldwide show broadcast live from the club on Florida based radio station, www.chicagohousefm.com. He is one of only a handful of promoters pushing the Chicago House scene in Scotland and is known for bringing the world’s finest underground house DJ’s to Glasgow for up close and personal events in the cities most intimate venues. Coming from a family of musicians, he picked up the violin at a very early age and quickly mastered the art. He also took part in theatrical plays where he began to sing and act. It was during this time Hugh realized that music and the arts were going to be his life. In the mid 90’s, Hugh was swept away by the Detroit Techno music scene. Falling in love with techno and house, he quickly began attending numerous underground warehouse raves in Detroit. Soon after this, he founded the legendary group“/sin-de-kat/” along with Detroit natives, Courtney and Dave. Together they produced events that featured Deep Dish, King Britt, Q-Bert, The Pharcyde, Little Louis Vega, Ron Trent, and Funkmaster Flex to name a few. ; Hugh quickly gained the respect of his peers with his legendary underground warehouse parties in Detroit such with events such as “Family Ties” and "The Valentines Day Series" in collaboration with a few other local groups. He was then offered a position at Motor which hosted some of Detroit’s best events with the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Derrick Carter, Deep Dish, and many more. The venue received international press and was voted #1 club in the USA on URB magazine. Shortly thereafter, Hugh was offered a position at Velvet Lounge in Pontiac by long time mentor and good friend, Terrence Parker. Having held residencies at the legendary Motor Lounge, Tonic, and Platinum Windsor over the years, Hugh quickly began to receive offers to perform in cities like Miami, Chicago, Toledo, St Louis, Toronto, and more. More currently, Hugh is the resident Dj at Vain, who has gained international acclaim in the electronic dance scene as one of the most respectable venues in Detroit.
