My first exposure to the electronic music scene took place in Calgary, AB during the summer of 1998. I had a few amazing souls take me to Chunky Soup II (People Under the Stairs production) where I was introduced to The Space Time Continuum, Dekoze, Honey Mustard and many more talented djs. I spent the whole evening wondering why it had taken me so long to discover this amazing music. Coincidentally, this is where I met many of my closest friends who are the core of my family network. A few short years after my first event, I purchased a set of turntables and started playing records with a main focus on psytrance, drum n’ bass, breaks and downtempo. Since my best friend and roommate Darvin aka Nokturnal was also doing the same, we decided to play 2×4 sets and we soon became known as Sons of Aurora. Since then, I have danced, performed and dj’ed in various cities across Canada, the US and Europe (as Nori and with Darvin as Sons of Aurora). Playing at these amazing festivals and events have given me the experience to deliver a professional and diverse dj set while my experience as a dancer allows me to understand the dynamics of the dancefloor and how to use that to get people shaking and moving! My DJ/production endeavors are focused in the genres of dub breaks, psydub, glitch, minimal dub, downtempo, IDM, ambient and a little bit of dubstep. When performing with Darvin, I like to add a melodic and broken beat flavor to both our uptempo and downtempo sets. To date, my most notable outdoor festivals are Boom Festival (Portugal), Symbiosis (Cal, USA), Burningman (Nev, USA), Shambhala (BC), Eclipse Festival (Que) and Motion Notion (AB).I also had a top 10 guest chart for Interchill Records in 2008. DJCP1 is a Producer / D.J. who started playing Hardcore Punk, SKA, Reggae and Fusion Funk in Southern California.He started playing Breaks, Jungle, Drum N Bass and Gabber in the later half of the 90's and producing in 2000.In 2003 DJCP1 moved to the Eugene OR area. hi i started djin nearly 10 years ago , and was introdused to the freeparty scene in 2004 , i saw Distek for the 1st time and was hooked from there on , i love mixing , i believe it changed my life , i plan to travel the world spreding the techno infection that the world needs
