NOT AFRAID TO LOVE

I'm not afraid to feel this way,

Or write to you with words to say,

Or tell you that I miss you so,

Or risk the things we don't yet know.

I'm not afraid to text you back,

Or hide the feelings that I have,

To hold you close and want to stay,

Or show you who I am today.

I'm not afraid to show my love,

Though they may say I've gone too far,

I'd rather risk this beating heart

Than hide behind my fears in the dark.

I've bled before, I've cried my tears,

Been hurt by love, faced all my fears.

But if I let my fear decide,

How many loves will pass me by?

I'm not afraid to love, to love!

I'm not afraid to risk it all, it all!

What if this time it all goes right?

What if our love becomes our light?

I'm not afraid to feel, to feel!

To discover you and what is real!

In a world that runs away from pain,

I'll risk my heart for love again!

What if it works? What if it's you?

What if you make my skies turn blue?

I'd rather dare to live and try

Than spend my life just wondering why.

I'm not afraid to love, to love!

I'm not afraid to risk it all, it all!

Don't tell me feeling love's a crime,

A brave heart dares to cross that line!

I'm not afraid to love!

I'm not afraid to feel!

If life brings me to you,

I'll risk it all for you!

Whatever comes, let it come my way...

I'm not afraid to love today.
