This is my second account, as Google Chrome took a dump on me recently. If any of you followed me in the past, simply hunt down tracks with my old user name of 11871121. As I can't recall my password from back then, it looks like that set of 20 or so mixes gets to collect dust. Sucks, but ever forward right? If anything I can connect with new users. NO, I won't be transferring those mixes to this profile. Mark Maddox is a Dj from the Northwest of England with over 25yrs experience. Starting out as an 18yr old doing warm up sets for the 96.7FM Radio City Dj's in Mr Smiths Warrington, he soon started getting a reputation for being a diverse Dj as he mixed between genres to build up an energy on the dance floor. That quickly saw Mark being asked to do some warm up sets for the cult tv show Hitman And Her with Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachen. Going past the 90's Dance and Rave scene, Mark fell in love with House music. That passion allowed Mark to grow even more as a Dj and it wasn't too long before he was doing full House sets for some of the worlds most renowned brands. Over the years Mark has travelled across the UK and Europe playing on gigs alongside the likes of David Morales, Erick Morillo, Chicane, Pete Tong, Tall Paul, Boy George, Judge Jules, Whelan and Di Scala (now Camelphat), Anton Powers, David Dunne, Dave Graeme, Esquire, K Klass, Pianoman, Awesome 3, Dream Frequency, Dancing Divas, and many more... as well as playing sets with some of the worlds best Sax, Percussionists, and Electric Violinists to ever grace the dance music industry. Mark has performed in front of crowds ranging from 50 to 10,000 for club brands and venues such as Cream, Ministry Of Sound, Gatecrasher, Enigma Ibiza (ex Kanya Beach Club), Es Paradis Ibiza, Eden Ibiza (where he performed the closing set of the summer in 2019), Ibiza Rocks (for which he held a residency in 2019), Float Your Boat Ibiza, Beat Herder Festival, Widcombe Festival (where he closed the stage after Basement Jaxx), and the sell out Indian Summer Festival (where Mark's brand Royal House held their own tent), and Utopia Ibiza Festival where Mark has headlined for the past 2 years (2021 & 2022). He has since rocked prestigious venues such as Cafe de Paris, Piccadilly Institute, Cafe Royal, Emirates Stadium and many Park Lane Hotels. Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! He has a very large of House, Deep House, Commercial House, R&B Remixes archive. He has a big experience clubs like Dicey's garden, Krystle, Eveleigh garden, Palace Navan, Morgan Temple bar, Wrights venue, Baggot Inn, MCgowans, Fade street social………… The best thing about being a DJ is making people happy. There is nothing like seeing people get up from a table to dance or the expression on their face when they hear a song they love. a dj for 10 years, started out playing bassline house/speed garage on the good old vinyl back in 2002 but due to the addition of kids and a move to the coast this has forced me down the digital road, as i have no space to put equipment. Now i use cd and pc with controller. I have played on a couple of online radio stations ( www.247house.fm ) where i played every sunday between 3-5pm, i played a bit of a mixed genre set basicly playing anything with either a nice vocal, organ, bassline etc wasn't realy set on a genre as long as it had a nice feel to it i played it, i also played on LOCO'S FM back in 20004-5 which was just utter live madness haha mic, shouts, vinyl, beer, a house full, loud music and ultimately A FRIGGIN EVICTION HAHAHA. These days as above I play a mix of genre's, all focused around the bassline scene. But obviously a bit more up to date so get following, likeing, favouriting, d/loading ETC my mixes but most of all enjoy the tunage.
