DJ MC Mello has dedicated over 35 years to his craft as a DJ, starting in the mid-1980s. His repertoire includes a diverse range of genres, from Dance and House to Rock, Disco, and Old-school, among others. He has graced venues such as "The Scratch," "Club Crescent," and "Club Ozone" in downtown Montreal. Today, he continues to entertain as a mobile DJ for "Sound Express." I was born 49 years ago and have been close to music since childhood. As a young man, I decided I wanted to become a DJ. **My professional start** came in 1993. That’s when I fully committed to mixing and creating music for discos and club events. My distinctive style and energetic performances quickly won me popularity, and I gradually became a familiar face in the local club circuit. **During my career**, I had the amazing opportunity to travel and perform on various stages. These experiences enriched me immensely, not just musically but also as a person. I learned to feel the crowd’s energy, and my mixing skills became my trademark, propelling me to the top of the local DJ scene. **After years spent in the prime of my career**, I felt in 2008 that it was time for a change. I decided to end my active DJ career and devote myself to other interests and responsibilities. Though I no longer play at major events today, my passion for music and mixing still burns within me. **I’m still part of** our local music community, and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved for DJ culture. I poured immense effort and heart into my musical journey. And my greatest reward is knowing that my music and my work continue to inspire people even today. Because **music is eternal**.
