DJ Weavy A survivor of the old Acid days of Edinburgh 87/88, Weavy’s DJing career began back in 1989. While living in Edinburgh, Scotland it was a chance meeting with an old friend, who at the time was working as a DJ at The Blue Oyster nightclub. No DJ school graduate here, self taught from the beginning by putting tunes on at the beginning of the night. It wasn’t till a new club opened up called Millionaires that Weavy became a resident DJ holding this residency for over 3 years! During this time at Millionaires Weavy played guest spots in and around Edinburgh, doing 2 warm up sets at REZ Back in 92. Before he moved onto Perth Western Australia, where he has settled and lives now. It was in Perth that Weavy met up with the Ragga Bone crew becoming part off their production & promotions team for the Eclipse raves, he also DJ’d for them & worked in their record shop. He was in Perth from 92/95 and played around many of the clubs before shooting off back to the UK. Back in Blackpool (UK) he met up with some DJs and started playing around town in the summer season working days & nights. The team of DJ's decided that there wasn't enough dance music on the radio so Weavy, with mates Johnny Fresh and Marc C started up FRESH FM. A Pirate Station that ran for 4 months before being shut down by the authorities. They then went onto start SPLASH FM a legal Station, which runs for a month twice a year. They still continue do the pirate thing, currently known as Planet FM, minus DJ Weavy, was now back in OZ. This brings us to where Weavy is now, living in Perth, Western Australia. When he first arrived back he got work at Redheads nightclub as a resident DJ. He has since moved onto working for XS Productions playing at most of their party's such as Euphoria, System6 & Intensity. He has played to too many major events to mention including warm up for Lisa Lashes on two occasions, Dave Lea, Andy Farley, Ed Real and the highlight of his Australian DJing career for Enchanted 2002 in Adelaide, Australia’s largest outdoor rave with over 8500 punters, alongside Paul Glazby, Kevin Energy, Sharkey, Scott Brown to name but a few. His passion for radio has continued on, being involved in BPM, a local dance show that airs Thursday nights on RTR FM (92.1) Weavy works for the DJ Factory in Perth, keeping his finger on the pulse of what’s new and often pre-released from record labels and artists around the world. His creative talents have extended into producing tunes and has already got 1 release under his belt on Pump Record's UK and is currently working on releasing some other material for the label in the not too distant future. - Dehydr8ed represents a unique style of electronic music creation and manipulation. Jason Randall and I (Niko Benetos) met in 2011 here on House-mixes.com. Since then we have become very close friends. We are both focused on pushing the limits of music manipulation and mixing in different ways. I have been using Ableton Live for 9 years now. I Strip down tracks to samples, then arrange them with parts of others and my own synth, basslines percussion and effects to create a unique dance music experience. There are no limits as to what can be done. Most of my sets use about 20 channels and could take 50 to 100 hours to complete. Jason Randall is simply put the best DJ on the planet. He is using upto 6 decks along with samplers and effects units and although he is the King of dark pounding techno he can throw down in any style and make the most seasoned of DJs seem amateur. Don't waste your time reading this, just press play on the sets to see for yourself. I would Like to thank everybody for all the excellent comments and downloads. This is a great place to catch new artists and DJs and the music fans on this site are the best in the world. 1210's were the start, CDJ's took over, now a controller! The Pioneer DDJ-RB is an awesome piece of kit, say no more. So I recently found a folder of mixes from many a moon ago that I'll be uploading. Expect some atrocious mixing but banging tunes!

Music has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember and im confident to say its shaped who I am today. From a very young age I was very much into Syththesized music , especially Jean Michelle Jarre (one of my all time heroes). Along side this I loved early electro house and Detroit techno so naturally , was blown away with the late 80’s acid house explosion and even more so by the early 90’s Rave explosion, and this is where my passion really set in. I first went on a pair of decks at the tender age of 9 years old (1991), and around this time got 1xdeck for Christmas, now….clearly you don’t have to be a dj to understand that this is useless for mixing, but, for beatmatching, this was the best thing you could imagine! Id beatmatch vinyls to tapes,or anything that was playing in the house,and by the time I got my 2nd deck and mixer at 12years old, the learning curve of beatmatching was already mastered! Now, musically , im predominantly Hardcore, always have been, from early breakbeat hardcore right through to todays sounds. Ive loved the evolution of the sound and have the same passion for the sound as I did 20 years ago. Trance was a major influence for me in the 90’s too , especially Paul Oakenfold/Sasha/Digweed to name a few….their ability to seamlessly blend tracks together over the course of an hour or so and leave me feeling like id been on a musical journey really inspired me and applied this same technique to everything I mixed. Today, I concentrate mainly on Uk Hardcore and Hard dance, which while im “here” must mention how impressed and inspiring I find hard dance at the mo , from the techy minimal sounds right through to the tough hardstyle sounds of Europe, I feel this scene has got a lot to offer and has something for everyone. Im loving the Hard dance scene as a whole at the moment, whether it be Breakbeats/Kickdrums/trancey/ravey/techy/fast/slow…..the scene in my eyes is as diverse as its ever been, whatever others may think! Music is a way of life!

In 2003 he studied Music Technology at City College, Manchester and began experimenting with sounds. I started to spin records in 1990. Played in local clubs and went to many raves. In the late 90's I started Evil Activities and made tracks like "Darkness At Noon", "Harder & Harder", "Way Of Life", "What's Inside Me", "Be Quiet" and many more.
