''Updated 2020.11.08'' Hey! I'm DJ Peter from Eksjö, Sweden. Contact info: dmkonsulten@live.se, +46 706563029. I'm a DJ since 1985 and still enjoys it very much. For the last couple of years I've been fortunate enough to have DJ'ing as my full time job, doing +200 gigs a year. I adapt my mixing according to the genres and expectations from the crowd, but I always try to build an atmosphere that take my audience to some kind of euphoric happiness. Straight forward mixing doesn't leave much room for errors but when it's tight. it's beautiful. I like progress and I embrace new technology as long as knowledge and skill is what's behind the use of it. Here, I can listen to all your nice uploads and get inspired to learn new stuff. I play a lot of funk/soul/disco originals and only manual mixing does it as you have to ''feel'' the mixes to get 'em right. That's why I never use sync 'n' rarely the quantize function. All my mixes are made in one take. No editing. I prepare my music, not my mixes. What you hear, is what you can expect to hear when I play live. Unless something critical happens, I don't restart the recording. Some people don't agree with me in this, but for me to do it in another way, would be like cheating to my customers. So yes, there will be errors once in a while and that's how it is. There's no start overs in real live gigs, and that's what I practice for. You who take your time to listen to my mixes here, are just as important to me as the crowd in a venue, so I put the same focus in my mixes as I do on live gigs. Equipment Current Gear: Mixer: DJM-900Nxs2, DJM-2000, DJM-800, DJM-450, DJM-250 CD-player: 2 CDJ-2000Nxs2, 2 XDJ-700, All-In-One: XDJ-R1/Laptop/iPad Controller: DDJ-RB. Legacy Gear: This I sometimes use just for fun: 4 CDJ-500II, 3 CDJ-500S, 2 CDJ-200, 4 CDJ-1000Mk3, 1 CMX-3000, DJM-350, DJM-300, DJM-500, DJM-600 Headphones: HDJ-2000Mk2 & HDJ-X10K & some 19'' Mixers from when I started in the mid 80's. Missing: 2 Technics 1210's with Ortofon Stylus nightclub Most of my gear are also used in various DJ workshops, and I'm old enough to see the sentimental value of the gear I've been using over the years :) . Every piece bring back memory's of long gone clubs and people I've met and got to know.

I have two Dennon HS5500 which is like having 4 turntables since you can play 2 tracks from the same player along with a DJM-600-K PIONEER MIXER. aahhh You don't want to know!!!! but mostly my own home made mixes specially done for the party I do. I like to do a "show" of what people have requested ahead of time so I like to make a mix or two with extra effects and get rid of all the boring intros and outros that sometimes seem they go forever. I am a paralegal in the day time. I have been working there for 16 years and I ;also do hair in the evenings. I ;love cutting hair and doing "Glamour" make up. ; Also, I ;dj on the weekends mainly for "fundraiser". I ;like to help people that are suffering from Alzheimers since my dad was just diagnosed with it, I also do it for people with Cancer and Aids by donating my time and money. My dad was a musician all his life so I have the music in me but as I was growing up I loved to hear really high energy disco, and then tribal, techno, rave but I now enjoy the diva house music with a touch of tribal touch.

Born in Portugal, Ponte da Barca - Viana do Castelo, at 28 January 1982. On his youth, he found in music his way of expression. At the age of 13, he had his first trash metal band experience as a guitar player. Self-taught by nature, he tried many musical instruments and had got training in classical music at the age of 17, giving him an understanding of music theory in general. His taste for diverse music genres has opened many creative doors. In the year 2000, under the alias of Makininha, he found joy and maximum artistic expression in Techno Music. Had spent many hours in the studio improving his mixing skills with his vinyls full of Frankfurt and Detroit sounds. His sessions are characterized by dark techno beats, progressive and scathing, with strong kicks and contagious bass lines. Fan of scratch and fast mixes, he uses 3 mixer channels to create evolving sessions, grabbing the dancefloor with intensity we taking the ravers into a mystical journey. With the new technologies, now he explores the perfection of mixing and song manipulation using loops, effects and filters. Lover of mental, evolving, dark, strong and industrial techno, his major influences are: Jeff Mills, Oscar Mulero, The Advent, Surgeon, Glenn Wilson, Regis, Takaaki Itoh, Chris Liebing and Speedy J. Other producers that he actively follows are the Pole Group guys (Reeko, Exium and Christian Wunsch), Planetary Assault Systems, Industrializer, Xhin, Lucy and Go Hiyama. Since the year of 2000, he has played in many clubs in the North of Portugal and Galiza (Spain). In the year of 2005, he was the TechnoFactory resident Dj, hosted in Penha Club - Guimarães (Portugal). He shared the booth with the best Portugueses Dj’s: A.Paul, Jiggy, Morrice, Wla Garcia… and some International Dj’s like: Jesus del Campo, Oliver Ho, Fernanda Martins, Obi, Michael Angelo, Lexis and Joc.

Been mixing it up since 2004, taught myself the fundamentals due to no dj friends or high demand dj videos like they are now. Learned on tables then to cds and now digital. Musical influence came from my club/rave experiences in 1999-2003, when trance music was on top. Dj's that influenced my style are : Dj keoki, dj Baby anne, Dj Micro, Dj Icey, and many others. Spinning only trance for yrs i broke out of my shell and stepped up my game and transitioned into House music and other genre of EDM (Electronic dance music) i can successfully mix Drum and Bass, Dubstep, House, Electro House Dirty Dutch , Breakbeat, and much more. Love to play out for a crowd and keep the dancefloor packed out and grooving to the BEAT.

I started Dj in in the middle 90’s after graduate from Specs Howard a friend of my got me into it Alisa Berry is her name to be exact. I have had a deep love for music since childhood with Mom singing and Dad playing with the saxophone she being a homemaker and pop an Air traffic Controller this meant I grew up with an eclectic background in music from Jazz, Soul, To Rock and roll My Dad’s favorite group is Cheep Trick . . lol. Not from Detroit born in Milwaukee WI. I moved around a lot because of my fathers Job, but I mostly grew up in Detroit a product of the Detroit Public School system “Redford High School to be exact “Go Huskies.” In High School and College where I became a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity house music was everywhere and I loved it. I remember after I crossed we heard my Frat brother Kevin Saunderson drop “Good Life” at an EMU party. I remember the music Institute and still have the flier from the three-day closing! House music has been a main stay in my life. I have produce podcast The Jazz Suite and Gospel Jazz Podcast for more than 6 years I’ve hosted internet radio show Treasures from grandpa’s attic and The Chris Kelly Show for SVMIX internet radio. I still do a Soul podcast called Getting-it-in Soul it has always been about the music. My business partner convinced me this year to start Djing in front of an audience again and I love it!!! I choose the name Dj J.Squared is a homage to my mother who passed away in 2004. My nickname growing up was J.J. because I’m named after my father so to pay homage to the woman who introduced me to all that I love about music so Dj J.Squared was born.
