Started off way back in 2000 with a pair of gemini xl 500II decks and Gemini PS-540i mixer ortofon concord dj cartridge's and last but not least a big box of vinyl (mainly Bassline house and speed garage and a few funky house tracks). Then around 2009 I switched to CD with a dodgy Kam set up which I didn't like lol so i opted for a conroller started with cheep and cheerful and gradually built up to my current DDJ 1000 which absolutely love, (each to their own ehh haha) Still miss my vinyl all these years later, but now I have the ddj1000. My plan is to at least get 1 vinyl deck maybe a second one a little later. Also many years ago around 2004 I started playing on my pal Ste Busby's (aka (the producer) Buzzby) radio station "Loco's FM" playing bassline house and Speed garage, and over years I've played on many other station, currently I play on React Radio Uk Sundays 2-4pm playing mainly house and dance from all eras, then again on Thursdays 6-8pm playing bassline house and Speed garage, I'd love to play in a club or organised event but it just hasn't happened as I wouldn't know where to start to get out there, who knows ehh, maybe one day, but for now I'm quite happy doing what I do, So basically I'm just a very humble bedroom DJ, which absolutely loves all kinds of dance music from the 80s to present day.

My passion for dance music kick started in 88 thanks to the new sounds that was House Music. I am pleased to have been a part of the original rave scene and the heady weekend cruises to find illegal raves in obscure farms, fields and industrial buildings. Not only that, but the great Sterns / Mansion House was right on my doorstep, there were some crazy nights, awesome DJ's, deep arse bass, and a lightly drippy ceiling (if you went, you know what I mean). As a poor student, I cut my teeth mixing using Soundlab DLP3's before growing up into Technics, then Vestax PDX D3, which knocked the spots off the Techs, then Stanton STR8's. These days the vinyl and decks stay in the loft as I ported over to using M-Audio Xponent and AVID Torq2. So over the years, my musical styles have changed little, I still love Old School House, Hard/Hip House, Acid, Trance and a decent mashup. Insight over, back to the music.

From Kismet's first House night in his hometown on Hastings Pier, shortly followed by an all-night rave in '92 by Storm, he experienced an atmosphere like no other. Attending numerous raves such as World Dance, Dreamscape, Tazzmania and House nights including Renaissance and Clockwork Orange throughout the 90s, it would be a an unforgettable journey through the underground dance scene. In '94 Kismet went to Sheffield Hallam University where he met other DJs and began mixing vinyl. Kismet quickly discovered the underground dance scene in the North, attending House nights at legendary clubs such as The Hacienda and Gatecrasher. This helped define the primary genre for Kismet as a DJ, who fell in love with mixing House. Whilst at uni, Kismet worked behind the scenes at Sheffield Hallam Union, assisting with sound and lights for student nights but was mainly interested in DJing. He managed to get a resident DJ slot on the weekends at the student union, playing to sizeable crowds. He also had a brief spell on charity and pirate radio. During the mid to late 90s, he found the rave scene took a diverse split into different genres so held some House parties with two fellow DJs. The aim was to bring all the different genres together in a positive way. This venture started "Lighten Up! Promotions" which lead to many years doing professional discos and events. After a number of years away from the rave scene to concentrate on his family, Kismet was back, attending Raindance NYE in 2011. Shortly after, he was mixing again, this time using both vinyl and digital; recording studio sets. At an all-nighter in London summer 2016, he met DJs from London Pirate Radio. Little did he know a few months on this would lead to the start of Kismet’s radio career on LPR, playing House and Breaks and enjoying every minute of it! This has introduced great exposure as a DJ… more recently played at The Copper Box Arena, Olympic Park and looking forward to playing at a charity rave in Brighton Summer 2017.

It all started back in 1990 with The Happy Mondays & Stone Roses. Rave was still underground & Illegal The sound was fresh. It all started when I listened to a mixtape a mate was listenin to he said have a listen to this. I soon started to search for pirate stations around my local area, MIX FM, FRESH FM (Leicester) & KOOL FM (Birmingham). Has I got more into the music I thought I would have a go at DJin so brought myself a pair of soundlab belt drives & a numark mixer & buy my vinyl from 5HQ. In 2009 I thought I would have a go at producin my own tracks. UNDER CONTRUCTION
