I started listening to music since he was 8 years old, my first console I got it at 17 I was delighted with the years 80s, then I am passed to the techno-acid. They were good times and all vinyl. In 1994 I started to appreciate techno -hardcore, after which they are passed to the hardcore and still are today. I'm not a professional DJ. I also began to appreciate the genre hardstyle and rawstyle. However I like all kinds. Mikey G, notorious for his hard-hitting, unique sets, is a DJ from Birmingham, now living in Leicester, UK. Mikey grew up listening to a wide variety of dance music and was heavily influenced by the bass heavy music being played around the midlands. He gained a huge interest in Drum & Bass, Garage and Speed Garage. Having been to hundreds of dance events, he decided to learn to DJ himself and began honing his skills, and was soon booked to play at local club nights. He started playing at various Drum & Bass events around the UK and supported numerous big name DJ’s across the scene. He became interested in ‘Jackin House’ and ‘House & Bass’, new styles of music giving a fresh twist on the Garage tunes he grew up listening to. He began DJ’ing at events regularly across the Midlands and as his popularity grew, so did his busy Dj’ing schedule - which is now frequently jam-packed, playing for many various club nights in the House and D&B scene. In August 2015 Mikey was asked to play at the closing party at Summerfest, a world leading skydive event in Chicago USA. After delivering a 6hr non-stop marathon set, he didn't disappoint! Mikey regularly posts live mixes on his Soundcloud page which have gained a large world-wide audience and are eagerly anticipated by many. full of sume old some new Jonny T (aka Cypresschill) was born in Rugeley in the UK in 1974 At the age of 12, Jonny gravitated to the DJs of the time, and was amazed as they mixed and blended the music into a seamless continuity of harmonics. He knew that a set of turntables was needed if he was to pursue his interest. He witnessed the progression of styles and influences over a number of years, going back to old skool house music of the 80s His own vinyl soon accumulated into a collection, and was sourced from many UK records shops, such artists included: Tommy Musto, Frankie Bones, Beastie Boys and early Hip Hop. The underground dance music scene has always been an area of interest and fascination to JT since, and over a period of time the mixing became second nature to him. Keen to rise up the ranks and build a name for himself, he made the break from bedroom DJ to DJing in the local clubs of the time, the pinnacle being a DJ set at the legendary Quest in Wolverhampton. “I am keen not to associated with a specific genre of music, I like to read the crowd and keep my sets dynamic, to have a eclectic music collection is the key. I have progressed with the underground scene over a number of years from old skool happy hardcore ’91-’94 thru to my current passion that is Liquid Drum and Bass. Exit Point's passion for the music began in the early 90s, a fan of the Madchester sound of The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays, from here, his musical tastes shifted to the underground Rave sounds of the mid 90's after being introduced to a mixtape by a friend. This led to Exit becoming an avid listener of the local pirate stations, Mix FM, Fresh FM (Leicester) & Kool FM (Birmingham).This keenness further led Exit to take up DJ'ing, initially with a pair of Soundlab belt drives & a Numark mixer. Exit got into the Jungle sound in 1994 and would buy his vinyl from the legendary 5HQ shop in Leicester.

I first started djing around about 12 years ago when i was 17. It was by chance i knew a dj in a bar and one week he asked me if i could do his set for him as he couldnt make it and gave me a brief lesson on what to do and from there i was hooked. I started getting sets playing hip hop and garage in Doncaster and sheffield and then discovered speed garage in 2001 and then started playing that. During that time myself and 2 others started a label called Gridlockd Records which became one of the biggest labels in the scene in a very short time as we were the only label making original tracks. Fast forward 12 years and in that time i played the first bassline set on bbc 1xtra, put together a compilation for ministry of sound (Maximum bass 2007) And had tracks signed to mos and all around the world (Universal). I decided in 2008 that i wasnt gonna pidgeonhole myself to one genre and went self employed as a dj and tutor. Around that time i got my own show on local legal radio station sine fm and my weekend vibes show did so well they moved me from 2-3 sat afternoon to 6-8 saturday night the show before dj legend graeme park. Nowadays i do a show called the history of Dance music on sine fm 102.6fm in Doncaster or www.sinefm.com worldwide every tuesday evening 8pm-10pm.
