Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! XJ thrives on his crowd’s reaction to his exciting musical journeys, so if you like what you hear and want to see him in action at your event get in touch. 2x Pioneer CDJ 800 Mk2, 2x Technics 1210 Mk2, 1x Pioneer DJM 700, Sennheiser HD25 Mk2. I have joined this website as I have a keen interest in Hard Dance music and as a result have got into mixing as a hobby, I will be uploading various mixes in various styles onto the site.I first started to get into rave music with the north east scene and generally the Makina (Spanish Techno) sound, this was the main style of music I mixed and listened to for the first few years. Hard House is also a style I've always liked from when I got into rave music but have never really had one favourite artist, anything I like the sound of I go for.I then got into UK Hardcore in a big way when then likes of Recon, Squad-E and Gammer came about and generally bought tunes around the start of that era, from labels such as Next Generation, Blatant Beats and Raverbaby, although I've always been a fan of Quosh. As for more recently I have tended to buy UK Hardcore from new artists, if at all. After UK Hardcore I got into the Hard Bounce style a little, but got bored quite quickly. After a year stopped buying tracks. The next genre I found I enjoyed was new Hardstyle from such artists as Activator, D-Block And S-Te-Fan and Showtek, although I've found the genre has now become quite stale.Until recently I bought mostly Hard Dance in its various forms but still have a soft spot for the New Makina sound. I would say i'm 99.9% digital these days. With regards to Makina I've been getting into it quite a lot again and have bought a decent amount from Japan, who now seem to be the guys who make the best stuff. I've also started to buy some vinyl again, this being classic German Trance and Makina.Thats it for now...P.S - All my uploads/mixes have full track lists within the stream/download screen, any extra information required please don't hesitate to email/pm me.ContactsFacebook - Anthony McNishE-Mail - mcnish1985@gmail.com These are some of the DJs/Producers and Labels I'm frequenting atm (who I can remember). DJs & Producers - Technikal, Unit 13, Audox, Rock Shocker, Emilio. Labels - Technikal Recordings, Pandemic Digital, Presence Digital, Fired Up Records, Toolbox Recordings.

Growing up in the 90's has very much left its mark on me, it was a magical time and most of by clubbing days were down in the Bournemouth area and later on in London and Kent. My early influences were DJs such as Danny Rampling, Lisa Lashes, Jon 00 flemming, Roger Sanchez, Tony De Vit, Carl Cox, Billy Nasty, Farley Jackmaster Funk, John pleased Wimmin, Sacha and Digweed, Mickey F, the list goes on. Today i mix a lot of Hard House, Hard Dance and Trance. Completely self taught and probably doing it all wrong. 🤣 Owner @shakkshouse music. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090528672768 Instagram @dj.shakkadreadz. Twitter @shakkadreadz

Growing up in NYC is a gift and a curse. A gift because from the time in your life you can begin to determine "good" or "bad" you had already been immersed in different cultures. Those cultures is what creates character and in essence you. From the time I realized I loved house music I always envisioned being the conductor of the crowd. Playing music to manipulate, then spectate their reactions as they dance to what you've created. The mixes I share with you it to promote my love for the music and me wanting to share that with you.
