Andy Bassland (real name Andris LazdÄns, also known as Trebland) is a DJ and producer. Music has been an important part of his life since early childhood. In 2000 Andy took his first steps performing in culture houses, schools and private events in Latgale and Ogre. Some years later Andy Bassland (known as DJ land at the time) had made a collection of CDs with house, trance and progressive, and started playing in Preili as well as other places in Latvia. Already some years later he was one of the leaders of the DJ associations – DN Promo and Tab - Lifter™. 2007 DJ Land started actively organizing electronic music events, producing records and making remixes of popular songs in Latvia, thus becoming more popular and recognized in the Latvian DJ community. In the second half of 2009 he created a project – Trebland. Its aim is to release remixes in foreign countries. Andy cooperates with other DJs and producers thus gaining more experience in the field.

Hi, I love DJ'ing, I'm doing it for several years now. I mix different styles of music: chill-out, psybient, ambient, progressive tech/trance, blunted beats, jazz or some abstract atmospheric music. I choose records who have an emotional impact on myself and others. I don't listen to mainstream radio-stations. These days I'm mostly active in psybient, ambient and progressive music. In the late 80s and early 90s I performed behind the turntables in a couple of clubs in Rotterdam. Influenced by several friends as artists and producers I created my own style: house and techno with up-tempo beats and rhythmic percussion, groovy bass lines and deep bass kicks. The mixes that I share on house-mixes.com are or have been played by the Dutch streaming dance channel from Amsterdam www.a1lounge.com.
