Sup, my roots go deep, way back to the late 80s early 90s. Used to listen to Centre-Force and Fantasy FM, bought my first real Vinyl in 89 a tune called The Theme by Unique 3 and never looked back. Raved in the early 90s four Aces club on Dalston Lane, Desire at the Tasco Warehouse, Orange at the Rocket & Astoria, Bagleys, Roller express smashed them all. Hardcore, Jungle, Drum & Bass, oh yes those were the good old days, the all or nothing days. Now I am content with what I have, two decks a mixer, some big speakers, a box full of records and HD full of Mp3s. I like all music but I love Jungle Drum & Bass, its where my heart is, that shiver you get on the back on your neck, thats something special. Vinyl is king, nothing else can compete and you know that but you have to move with the times, digital media is so convenient! I am greedy, when I hear a tune I like then I have to have it, to mix it to make it mine. Thats whats great about digital media, as long as you play by the rules! I purchase all of my tracks from various websites, I dont settle for no poor quality or ripped Mp3. support the artist & promote them and they will keep you fed. Trackitdown.com, Breakbeat.co.uk, Juno, Nu-Urban Music. I like to spend some time on creating a track list that works before producing my final mix, its the least I can do. My tastes vary from month to month, sometimes, heavy into Jump Up, more recently I have been more into Techstep Neurofunk.

At the time I was lucky enough to pick up Don fm and Green apple on the dial. Started playing out at squat parties in 97 and played at Frenchtek 99 in front of 1000s. Was blessed with my first child in 99 so gave up the parties. Still to this day I'm a avid record collector & more than happy being a bedroom dj. 2019 I was encouraged to start playing again and was Luckily given a chance on RaveRadio. Mikey G, notorious for his hard-hitting, unique sets, is a DJ from Birmingham, now living in Leicester, UK. Mikey grew up listening to a wide variety of dance music and was heavily influenced by the bass heavy music being played around the midlands. He gained a huge interest in Drum & Bass, Garage and Speed Garage. Having been to hundreds of dance events, he decided to learn to DJ himself and began honing his skills, and was soon booked to play at local club nights. He started playing at various Drum & Bass events around the UK and supported numerous big name DJ’s across the scene. He became interested in ‘Jackin House’ and ‘House & Bass’, new styles of music giving a fresh twist on the Garage tunes he grew up listening to. He began DJ’ing at events regularly across the Midlands and as his popularity grew, so did his busy Dj’ing schedule - which is now frequently jam-packed, playing for many various club nights in the House and D&B scene. In August 2015 Mikey was asked to play at the closing party at Summerfest, a world leading skydive event in Chicago USA. After delivering a 6hr non-stop marathon set, he didn't disappoint! Mikey regularly posts live mixes on his Soundcloud page which have gained a large world-wide audience and are eagerly anticipated by many.
