DJ HafDer : 15 years of djing in different clubs in Belgium. (79 - 94) I´ve started my career playing disco then new wave,later new beat ,house, dance and Latino. From 93 my wife and I had a cocktailbar for several years at the Belgian coast which didn´t leave much time for a professional dj career, but I still spinned the records from time to time on several parties. After selling the bussines we moved to the beautiful and sunny Island Fuerteventura - Islas Canarias, where I still do some gigs and make mixes as a hobby. Justin discovered Bass music at the age of 16 on the radio (Monday nights: Global Groove Network, rebroadcast on University of Toronto’s CIUT 89.5FM). He Started attending Toronto events in 1999, his first being one thrown by “Big Bud”. Nicky Blackmarket soon became his personal DJ hero, due to his track selection and upbeat personality. He soon began attending Contraband events in Barrie and was introduced to the local underground community. Due to his persistence and skill, he was adopted by Contraband and originally learned to mix vinyl on Tec1200 turntables, since CDs were far from mainstream. He soon realized that he needed this creative outlet, and purchased his first set of turntables. The Contraband Family has been a strong personal influence for Justin from the start, encouraging him to embrace music as a hobby and a means to focus and stay productive. Working with the organization he was able to further develop his turntable technique and self-confidence - and meet people with similar interests. He has built up his vinyl collection, buying and trading with other favourite local DJs, but most of his current purchases are digital.He has become proficient with Pioneer CD decks and digital interfaces - preferring Serato or Traktor using vinyl or CDs, or either medium without an interface. In 2012 Data-Bass started Gridlock Radio - a weekly internet radio show featuring rotating guests on BassJunkees. The show celebrated it’s 1-Year Anniversary in February of 2013 and has become one of the station's top downloads. Miss Cheviouss (aka Selectra) has been moved from her apartment to the clubs causing trouble on the decks the whole time since she recently busted onto the scene in 2010. She has been supporting bass culture since way back in 1998, which means she was quite probably too young to be "raving".. Jen quickly accumulated a quality collection of a wide variety of digital music and through practice and dedication, plus the support from her friends, developed her technique and consistent precision on CD-decks over a very short period of time. She jumped at the opportunity to become a resident DJ on the Gridlock Radio show on Bassjunkees and many of her mixes can be heard via their PodCasts. She showed much promise as a radio DJ and was welcomed to the Contraband family in 2013. Now surrounded by positive, strong minded people and the right resources, her senses of creativity and motivation have been seriously augmented and she is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. She is now one of the co-hosts of "Locked Up" (host of the "Liquid Lunch" segment) -Saturdaysat2pm ESTon Contraband Radio! Selctra has been making her mark by performing with deadly precision and versatility, mixing nearly all styles and sub-genres of drum & bass music, dubstep and trap, constantly feeding off of the crowd’s energy.

I grew up in Zadar, revealed music very young in the mid 90's, and then begin my interest in electronic music, while at the beginning of 2000s i purchased my first dj equipment and began to investigate the various genres of electronic music, like deep, funky, tech, vocal, disco, soulful and classic house, and from producers who have influenced my choice of music there are: Christian Hornbostel, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Ronn Carroll, Basement Jaxx, Armand Van Helden, Larry Levan and the entire Chicago house scene and pioneers of house music . Behind me are various residencies in clubs like: GOTHAM club (Zadar), FORUM club (Zadar), LA HABANA beach club (St. Philip and Jacob / Zadar), MAYA pub (Zadar), Zoilo bar (Zadar), SATURNUS disco (Zaton / Zadar) YACHTING bar (Zadar), and collaborated with other clubs: MARASCHINO bar (Zadar), HITCH club (Zadar), Q bar (Zadar), Arsenal (Zadar), Shambala (Zagreb), Mango (Zadar), Carpi More (Biograd), Dali Bar (Zadar), etc. I also worked as a promoter of nightlife and club music on the radio 057 (Zadar). Curently resident dj at Guma bar Zadar.

Based in Miami USA, Born in Caracas, Venezuela. Dj Rocco began his career as a DJ at the age of 15 years old as a mobile DJ carrying all his lighting and gear to all of his gigs. He was influenced heavily from groups like the Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Depeche Mode at that time. At the beginning of 1991 he dedicated himself to a very well known hometown Mobile DJ in Caracas, Venezuela. With his original sets and sharp techniques on the mixer along with his music selection, all this opened a new area in his career as DJ/Producer. In 2002 he moved to Miami where he began as a guest DJ in different bars/clubs since his arrival. He is currently focusing all his knowledge and experiences in DJING, together with the production of original themes and remixes, which are soon due for inclusion in the best music electronic portals.

DJ Czezre was born and raised in the city of Newark, NJ. His love for music started at the young age of 5. He picked up his first instrument and began to teach himself note by note on guitar. He began to start reading music at the age of 9 and playing the trumpet in middle school with Eugene and Gene Phipps. His love for becoming a DJ started when he was in middle school in 1980 with DJ Sahib Muhammad. He carried on with his unique musical talent to Arts High School in Newark where his talents were enhanced even more by his music teachers Mr. Otis Brown and Bill Phipps. He was introduced to a mobile group G.O.L.D. Productions where he had met DJ Hulio, DJ Paul Scott and DJ Deluxe. They immediately took him under their wing and mentored him in the art of counting beats, and other turntable talents. As he took off as a mobile DJ, he later then met DJ Andrew Hogan where the two of them stuck together and played many gigs for fashions show, and DJ at the famous club Zanzibar. He got then introduced to DJ Mark Thompson at Club Sensations in Newark where he became a resident DJ for 3 years. He then kept on playing around many other popular places, including the Area in NY, Club Khayyam, Club America, and the Peppermint Lounge in NJ. He continues to DJ and keep the passion for his music alive while also producing songs for various artists such as Kym Still and even working on music for LaVeda Davis, Tanja Dixon, and Sabrina Chyld in the UK, and many more. He remains active in his first love of House Music with being the official DJ for That Kid Clothing Line while being the DJ for all of their venues nation wide. He is making many podcasts, soundclouds and live online broadcasts with many different online sites, and radio stations such as Chill Lover Radio and Plum Radio with several guest spots at Club 6 in Newark. Look out for more club music and new productions with various artist due out by the Summer.

For the last couple of years I've been fortunate enough to have DJ'ing as my full time job, doing +200 gigs a year. I adapt my mixing according to the genres and expectations from the crowd, but I always try to build an atmosphere that take my audience to some kind of euphoric happiness. Straight forward mixing doesn't leave much room for errors but when it's tight. it's beautiful. I like progress and I embrace new technology as long as knowledge and skill is what's behind the use of it. Here, I can listen to all your nice uploads and get inspired to learn new stuff. I play a lot of funk/soul/disco originals and only manual mixing does it as you have to ''feel'' the mixes to get 'em right. That's why I never use sync 'n' rarely the quantize function. All my mixes are made in one take. No editing. I prepare my music, not my mixes. What you hear, is what you can expect to hear when I play live. Unless something critical happens, I don't restart the recording. Some people don't agree with me in this, but for me to do it in another way, would be like cheating to my customers. So yes, there will be errors once in a while and that's how it is. There's no start overs in real live gigs, and that's what I practice for. You who take your time to listen to my mixes here, are just as important to me as the crowd in a venue, so I put the same focus in my mixes as I do on live gigs.
