Behind the Open Source project is Angelos Mavros from Athens, Greece. Angelos began making music under the alias OutSid3r in 1999 and has been constantly improving his outputs since then. In 2004, he started releasing music under the name "Open Source", as he switched from trackers to a professional DAW. All of his productions include prominent melodies and deep ambience that reflect the producer's melancholic psyche. In 2005, Angelos founded Ghost Label records, a label dedicated to electronic music that has released the majority of his tracks. Open Source embraced the overwhelming popularity of electronic music and infused the EDM scene with his unique, soulful sound. His outstanding live performances, in combination with his versatile musical style, have earned him a worldwide audience across multiple global venues.

Big music fan and i'm into music from 2005 and into Dj-ing from 2010. I was, and still am a technical/DJ on many radios/sites. Very good advisor, but still need exp and practice on my new eq. :) With my new equipment Numark DM 2050 and 2 pleyers Axis 4 I'm able to mix some of the newest tracks into nice & soulfull mixes. Got a lot better these months and now with some new exp i can go further into the world of Djs. been in it deep since the begining (i am 40) - the warehouse club in chicago, it is escapism but it aint illegal as such, like some other stuff like minimal grooves to anything to jack to. interested (anyone?) in this new jackin in washington DC, and the favela funk in sao Paulo. anyone point me in the right direction?? also, has mp3's and cd's just completely obliterated vinyl??
