Fell in love with dance music at a young age then discovered Durban's Super-Club 3-30 and HardHouse then later came Club Traxx on Cobham Grove, which ignited a deeper passion for Harder Dance and HardTrance. Durban Hard Dance Icon: Sam Boylan & Marc T being a major inspiration to his DJ'ing style. Living the evolution and rise of Trance music from the late 90's to modern day, it was inevitable for him to be a DJ. The source was 5FM and Derek the Bandit. Saturday nights became a regular sanctuary in warm up to Club Nights at 3-30, taping songs off the radio, little did he know that he was already technically DJ'ing and those would become priceless mixtapes. Since then his passion for the music grew and kept growing, learning about music and the basics and crafting his sound, he taught himself the art of mixing on pc, then progressed to CDJ's and later on, the basics of music production. Production arised when he found all his music boring and wanted to create his own take on HardDance/HardTrance/PSy-Trance Hybrids. A new sound was born, pushing the boundaries of South African Hard Dance. Errtu Ehd was introduced to EDM in the mid 90's, mostly Techno, Hard House and Trance. He never really got into mixing until 2007 when he started playing around on mixing programs i.e. Mixmeister and Ableton. Most of what he does on his mixing is done by ear and being around other DJ's. He doesn't play a specific genre but instead allows the music to lead him and his aim with his mixes are to take the listeners or dancers on a musical journey and leave them feeling fulfilled after a set.

Hey fellow ravers I'm a self confessed raver with a needy appetite for anything funky, fidgety or just plane hard.. Been involved with techno since 1994 when i first started attending underground raves in jhb.. The industry has grown by leaps and bounds and I'm sure that back then it wasn't expected to last this long. I'm always glad to see just how many successfull dj's there are here on house mixes and value all the effort that goes into producing these masterpieces !!!! Attempted mixing myself back in 96 - 97 but fate and lack of money and a "small stretch" in prison put an end to that. I'm just glad that there are more talented and excellent dj's popping up out there. Until I'm too old to walk I'm gonna stay on this genre of music. My other passion in music is completely the opposite !! I have had the great fortune to see Metallica, Panthera, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse and Red hot chillies live over the last 15 years which are all still part of me.... What a mix up... Suppose could blame it on all the acid and E over my 10years of addction... Clean now, married and happy - isn't that what its all about !!

Whats up as you already saw my name is Chad a.k.a. HouseRoKKa/PsYnapse and I am a DJ based in Durban, South Africa. I have been DJing since 2005, and I'm avid fan of electronic beatz. My love first started with Hard House, and since then my tastes have diversified also into progressive house, tech house, progressive trance, uplifting trance and more recently, progressive psy! I feel that my musical taste and diversity have evolved nicely since I started playing, and I am happy of the place I find myself in my DJ career at the moment. Outdoor trance parties are the way forward, and I'm looking forward to experiencing more of these type of events. DJ Ardent has been active on the dance scene for one decade. He deals with the music in every possible way. The beginning of his career was marked by amateur engagement through out different Disco clubs, but shortly after that he’s introduced with new possibilities to apprehend more and to achieve results he wanted. In 1997 as a member of Futurecords brokerage, he engages in many parties and performances. In that period Ardent was plying mainly Techno genre, which had its biggest expansion at the time. In the beginning the year of 2000 makes short pause after which he finds him self in easier rhythms. Curiosity and experimenting with the sound is main force that keeps DJ Ardent in world of DJing. He moves to Vienna where he finds a lot of choice in familiarizing and developing with everything around the music world. Currently he can be found in the House rhythms, but quite often you can hear different styles, like funky, hip-hop, that are found in his sets. Beside the DJing he does a lot of production believing that one day his music will found its self in the hands of some publishing company. He directs his own music production towards certain locations that helps with creativity; usually it can be described as Energetic House. Asked if he is to end his interest with music, he told us “I love music more than yesterday but less than tomorrow”.
