I've been a DJ set builder since the turn of the millennium and I started out collecting vinyl. I love its special unique atmosphere of global gatherings in clubs or festivals, lacing us with groundbreaking euphoric feelings on dance floors or just listening spaced out somewhere. I started out listening to old skool hardcore rave anthems and electronic dance music has been inspirational to the way I think, feel and breathe. DJ tunes, oldskool anthems, fresh cuts and classics - music has been making me smile, tingle, rush and move ever since. -_-d

Hi Everyone . I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. A very active member of Deep House community, Berkand is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, amateur pianist, and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. DJ Ruma and DJ Nicky-Du-Coeur established 'Nuance' way back in 1993 as a vehicle for DJ's with a passion for deep-house / house-with-feeling music to submit mixes, and ultimately DJ out at Nuance themed club nights. Similar to 'Renaissance' by Sasha and Digweed. Sadly some of the early Nuance Tapes have become lost in the depths of time, but our drive, ambition, and feeling has never been lost, and is now back for revival!
