DJ JD has spent the past two decades building an impressive resume by immersing himself in the club and private event sectors. He developed his love of DJ’ing through the versatile musical influences whilst growing up. He couldn't wait to get behind the decks and put into practice what he had learned. Starting his career as a DJ rocking the house parties back in Johannesburg - South Africa, he explored various styles and genres with a focus on dance, hip hop and RnB. JD began creating his own fusion of house and party vibes for clubs and private venues whilst executing demands of the dance floors. From weddings to clubs and cocktail bars to private events JD ignites his passion for music and sounds from the far reaches of the globe. His adolescent years were spent challenging the resident DJs of well established night clubs to DJ battles where he gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of reading the crowds. With an extensive music collection ranging from golden oldies to the latest pop and charts and with subscriptions to record labels JD is able to keep his music repertoire fresh and current. JD believes the most important thing when playing is that his sets must be fun, getting a crowd going by playing popular songs fused with versions people necessarily haven’t heard before, capturing the imagination of the dance floor. Bedroom remixer, been mixing since early 80's, then moved onto remixing with an Atari 1040, an Akai S950 and editing on 1/4" tape....I now use Reason, just like using old hardware, love the wiring :) Favourite DJ's/remixers are Peter Slaghuis, Tony DeVit, Paul Dakeyne, Max Mix Team, Raul Orellano, Chris Lucas & Rod Warren, Mark Andrews, Sanny X, just to name a few.

Rockin the turntables for more then 25 years Played across The Netherlands and Belgium and was resident DJ at 2 clubs. LaDs (NL) Resident Groove Club (NL) Resident Escape (Adam) NightTown (Rdam) Imperium (Rdam) Kabarka (BE) Cherry Moon (BE) and many more..... Started as Disco & Italo DJ later on turned into a Hip Hop, Rap & Swingbeat And When The house came on the market and fell in love with freedom and futuristic sounds. Had a little break of 18 years but now i'm back. Now i found my new love and playing Nu-Disco, Funk, Soul & Disco Classics & Edits.
