DJ Chris aka The Funky Munky was a semi-professional Club DJ back in the 80's, in those days spinning the vinyl discs to Hi-Nrg music which was the mainstream of that day in gay clubs through the world. Chris started Djing in The Euston Tavern in London in 1983, and also did a guest Dj apperance in The famous Heaven Club in 1984. Moving on from London he then went to Milton Keynes where he was the resident DJ at The Loft in Wolverton, then onto becomming the resident Dj at The Regent Club in Northampton which he did for about 5 years, at the same time he also did every other friday night at The Princess Royal (also in Northampton). In the early 90's Chris moved into the resident spot at The Lord Raglan in Wolverhampton. Chris has also done occasional DJ sets at the The Flamingo in Blackpool during the early 90's as a relief Dj. Today DJ Chris (The Funky Munky) is no longer a professional DJ, but he still produces great podcast Dj Mixes of modern Electro Funky House, and often does many retro mixes such as Hi-NRG, Disco, Eurodance, and Remixes to name a few. It all started back in 1990 with The Happy Mondays & Stone Roses. Rave was still underground & Illegal The sound was fresh. It all started when I listened to a mixtape a mate was listenin to he said have a listen to this. I soon started to search for pirate stations around my local area, MIX FM, FRESH FM (Leicester) & KOOL FM (Birmingham). Has I got more into the music I thought I would have a go at DJin so brought myself a pair of soundlab belt drives & a numark mixer & buy my vinyl from 5HQ. In 2009 I thought I would have a go at producin my own tracks. UNDER CONTRUCTION
