From Vauxhall NJ where I first heard a DJ by the name of George Potter who helped me create my first mix with two turn tables at the age of 13. Then there was Mark Thompson who helped me polish up my skills on blending. Other mentors to me are Vernon Roberts, Phase III Disco aka DJ Butch, and Larry Morman. But it was when I went to my first night club New Experience and listened to Mark Thompson mix with 3 turntables and a reel to reel and said this will be me someday. Then there was the Paradise Garage, what an experience. Larry Levan is a one of kind. It was when I heard him for the first time and learned it’s not about the mix but about the music and how you control the music. I took that being said to Germany where I spent 4 ½ years in the army DJ’ing around Europe in several night clubs and raves. The way you control the music puts you in complete control of the crowed. So I would just like to say to up and coming DJ’s out there, it’s not always your mix but the song you play and how you play it. The right song played the right way will always move crowed!!

House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. Hello music lovers, I would now briefly take the time to introduce myself to you, so you know who you're dealing with. I'm Manixx in thirty-five years and has been on the scene of action. In the first years of my DJ time I've had it with the old Rock `n` Roll from the 50 `s 60` s to do. Then came the beat, soul, blues and Pop and Rock. Then I worked for years with House, Chill, Trance and Funk what really inspired me to this day. Here I found a new soul of rhythm and create my mix with lots of love and passion in their own stems. Pioneer CDJ 2000,Pioneer mixers,Technics Headphones,JBL speakers Slappa,UDG Hi,its Dj MV (mavusana) I spend most of time listening radio mixtapes ;and further ;mid night ; I go clubbing with freinds. Mostly I spend my time playing around all the clubs in Eastern Cape and doing mixtape and producing some tracks at Mad bay Records and least watching TV.
