**2024 UPDATE** Slap Jack is back after 14 years since joined House-Mixes.com, now under new name "Soul Jacka" and AKA SJ & Prima. Expect big things to come! Social Links: https://www.traxsource.com/artist/345209/soul-jacka https://www.instagram.com/sjpr.ima/ https://soundcloud.com/sjprima https://www.mixcloud.com/djprima/nu-disco-french-house-mix/ In 2006 it was born right there on the streets playing for Lafayette's own Kabuki Dance Crew with only hand full of Chi-town jacked out house tracks from "Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Stacy Kidd, JT Donaldson, Bryan Jones (before Golf Clap) Joey Youngman and Roy Davis Jr." These great House pioneers became some of his greatest influences to him. Soul Jacka House flavors contained Jackin House, French Disco, House, Deep House, Soulful House, Classic 90’s Piano House and what he likes to call Vintage House. Later on his career the producer side of Soul Jacka came out, getting a chance to work with Roy Davis Jr. on a few projects and producing his own House tracks that have appeared on Snazzy Traxx Records, Disco balls Rec., Karmic Power Rec., Recovery House Rec., Yoo’Nek Rec., Soul Shift Rec., and LW Rec. under the name Slap Jack. Now Soul Jacka looks forward to making his mark on the House music scene.

I started Djing in1985. The biggest influence on the music I play came from the "Hot Mix 5". Later influences came from Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Lil Louis, Fast Eddie, Bad Boy Bill, Farris Thomas, DJ Rush, Boo Williams, Glenn Underground, Steve Hurley, Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Mike Dunn, and Russell Miller a.k.a. DJ 78. I LOVE MY DISCO !!! Growing up in the "Windy City" HOUSE was KING!!! It was the heart beat of the city in my teen years. Hopefully I will be able to bring back some of those memories in the mix! I'm a "House Head" forever and hopefully you will enjoy the energy I bring to House Mixes.com.
