ATTENTION! Please be aware I no longer post mixes on house-mixes. If you have happened to have recently discovered me or listened to me before, you can find me still posting mixes on soundcloud & mixcloud. Been spinning since 88 and after a 10yr absence I returned a few years back to start mixing again. Before my "retirement", I played at a number of clubs and had residencies at the "infamous" Legends in Old Burlington St and at the Emporium in Soho. I currently mix for fun, but if the right opportunity presented itself Imight be interested in playing out again. My style of mixing is (I like to think) smooth, Itry to take the listener on a rhythmical adventure / journey. I particularly enjoy creating something between the mixes (when possible!) rather than simply going from deck to deck, so if you find yourself; a) loving the tunes, b) having an irresistable urge to dance and c) then realise you haven`t got a clue which tune you`re listening to, then I`m doing my job. My musical style usually falls into 3 categories; deep,soulful or nu disco but always funky. Would love to hear your comments on my mixes, don`t be shy. Click "Follow" and i will send you a notification (only) when i post a new mix. Don`t worry i do not notify as to what i am eating or watching on tv ala Facebook. FELLOW DJ`S PLEASE SEE BELOW; Please accept my apologies for not listening to everyone`s mixes, due to work and family commitments, the little free time I have is usually spent on seeking out new tunes or working on new mixes. I am aware I don`t listen to enough mixes and am trying to make more time for this. HOWEVER, when I do listen to a mix, I will provide an HONEST, THOUGHTFUL appraisal and whenrequested will offer constructive advice. Ido not"COPY & PASTE" feedback. I appreciate what DJ`s can put into a mix and the least I can do is take time to offer feedback befitting the quality of themix. DJ/Promoter/Graphic Designer A pioneer Vinyl DJ since '76 when he started as a mobile DJ and a club DJ since'78. In '77 he started DJ'ing at Phillips Dance Studio, the featured studio in "Saturday Night Fever" in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. In '78 his first club gig was at Fantasia, the areas most popular after hrs. In '80 he organized & hosted the College's first big dance party to be held in their seaside Cafeteria with 500 plus attendees. In late '80, Nino's mixed tapes were featured on the NYC radio's original 92KTU hosted by Carlos DeJesus. He then started The Midnight Music Company, a DJ/Entertainment business in 1988. Until 9/11, was employed for 4 years as resident DJ and promoter for lower Manhattan’s hottest Latin ‘after work’ party called “Mambo, Baby?” on Thursdays, at "The Greatest Bar On Earth” operated by “Windows On The World” Restaurant atop Tower #1 of The World Trade Center. The 'Mambo Baby' nights featured Salsa's greatest live shows on a weekly basis. Showcasing performers like Tito Rojas, Tony Vega, El Gran Combo, Tito Nieves, Miles Peña, Wayne Gorbea's 'Salsa Picante' and the legendary Johnny Pacheco, just to name a few. In early 2000 he was appointed to host and manage a new Friday night Old School Disco dance party, later to be called "Glitter" at 'The Greatest Bar'. His first hand Disco music knowledge played a big role in this new venture. He began contracting performers & seasoned DJ’s that later allowing him to host incredible weekly shows, boasting true disco artists like Tavares, The Trammps, Musique, Crown Heights Affair, BT Express, GQ, Brass Construction, Lolleata Halloway, France Joli, Debbie Jacobs, Carol Douglas & lots more, making the "Glitter" parties, truly 'Legendary'. Since 9/11, he's had DJ gigs at NYC clubs like The World, Saci, Centro Fly, Webster Hall, Avalon, Copacabana & many more. Some interesting DJ contracts through his Midnight Music Co. included The South Street Seaport Music Cruises, The Grammys, and even MTV staff parties. International bookings in Santo Domingo, Cancun and Bongo's in Miami. Through Midnight Music productions, he’s hosted Hustle and Salsa events at high end established night spots; E’toile, The Russian Tea Room, Vudu Lounge, The El Flamingo and famous NYC landmark Tavern On The Green.

House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. I have also played live Latin Jazz percussion at the Blue note NYC, and at Cecil's Swingin' Latin jazz nights in Orange NJ. My musical mentors who taught me during my teenage years and in the Spanish Harlem percussion clinics include the jazz & salsa legends Ray Barretto, Tito Puente and Charlie Palmieri. I also love to play Latin percussion to just about everything especially the "Fania All-Stars", I have also mixed "salsa gorda" tunes for my brother from another mother and dear fellow friend Pedro Gomez back at Telemundo TV studios in Hato Rey PR, que viva la salsa por que aqui se formo la rumba!!!!

Started mixing in the late 80's,with house music like orbital,klf,8o8 state etc and the chicargo/detroit scene that was big around that time and moved right through into the beginning of Belgium techno and hardcore scene and into Jungle/ D&B from 92 onwards aswel. Would mix most styles of dance music from house to progressive, garage and big beat etc. If it had a beat and I had enough tunes for a mix id mix it. Loving the Hardcore Breaks / Nu skool Breaks scene at the moment,thats keeping the old skool scene going.I've never prepped or worked out a mix ever,just cue the first two and of i go with just the tunes laid out in front of me.This way i feel the music and vibe more and its where i get my kick,mixing the way it should be done.Will only upload a mix im sure makes the grade. I love doing mixes of megamixes too and upload them every couple of weeks or so.
