D-Vox is also a versatile vocalist/lyricist. She has developed a unique ability to accompany instrumental DNB, house & techno tracks within her sets with live, melodic vocals. After spending many hours, days, weeks, and now years practicing the styles and having much devotion to persist in perfecting the techniques used for live performances Frostbreaks is now leveling the dancefloors in cities across New England and out west! Working with companies such as SCORCHED AM, UNITED TEKNO RECORDS, SEQUENCED RECORDINGS, CAVELABZ ENT, CAFFEINE EVENTS, and Dementia 909 Frostbreaks has proven his technique of bringing a new sound that keeps the dance floor flowing with constant movement. His fondness of all genres from House, Electro, Progressive, Techno, and Minimal has given him the ability to try something new and funky which brings out his own favorite and personal style of Tech House, Funk, Techno, and Tribal blends. Frostbreaks has spun in cities all over MA such as his DJ birthplace of Springfield, Boston, Greenfield, Lowell, Northhampton, and Worcester. BIOG I've been d.j. ing since 1988 - After discovering house music from listening to Stu Allan's house hour on Key 103 I began collecting house and techno vinyl. During the early 90's I played on Pirate station - Bliss FM in Middlesbrough. During the mid 90's I played at events in Bradford including the stimulations all nighters and floating bong nights. After a number of years in China I began producing my own music and had one of my first productions 'Unite' featured on Radio 1. I've released music as 'James Sandoz' on Peeled tracks and as 'Hydrosphere' on Dash Deep. My influences include Sasha and Digweed, Nick Warren, Pete Tong, Stu Allan, Paul Taylor and Layo and Bushwaka. I am also heavily influenced by the clubs I frequented in the early 90's namely - Legends, Bowlers, Angels, Havana and the Atmosphere events.

For the last couple of years I've been fortunate enough to have DJ'ing as my full time job, doing +200 gigs a year. I adapt my mixing according to the genres and expectations from the crowd, but I always try to build an atmosphere that take my audience to some kind of euphoric happiness. Straight forward mixing doesn't leave much room for errors but when it's tight. it's beautiful. I like progress and I embrace new technology as long as knowledge and skill is what's behind the use of it. Here, I can listen to all your nice uploads and get inspired to learn new stuff. I play a lot of funk/soul/disco originals and only manual mixing does it as you have to ''feel'' the mixes to get 'em right. That's why I never use sync 'n' rarely the quantize function. All my mixes are made in one take. No editing. I prepare my music, not my mixes. What you hear, is what you can expect to hear when I play live. Unless something critical happens, I don't restart the recording. Some people don't agree with me in this, but for me to do it in another way, would be like cheating to my customers. So yes, there will be errors once in a while and that's how it is. There's no start overs in real live gigs, and that's what I practice for. You who take your time to listen to my mixes here, are just as important to me as the crowd in a venue, so I put the same focus in my mixes as I do on live gigs. Missing: 2 Technics 1210's with Ortofon Stylus nightclub Most of my gear are also used in various DJ workshops, and I'm old enough to see the sentimental value of the gear I've been using over the years :) . Every piece bring back memory's of long gone clubs and people I've met and got to know.

Hi, I am a hobby D.J from Norfolk in England and I love to spin Tech house and Techno.
