DJXKhanThursday 7pm live broadcast on gremlinradio.com. Solitary Confinement w/ DJXKhan on the web or on your smart phone through SHOUTcast. Search gremlinradio.com pick the quality of your stream and bang it. Gremlins shoutcast addresshttp://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Radio/Gremlin%20RadioDJXXhan Welcome to Florida My first commercially available mix.http://mixes.beatport.com/#mix/2386 Support breakbeat artists 90% of the proceeds go to the label an artist. Brought up on hip hop.New to DJing. Old Skool EDM fan. I was a hard core raver in Tampa back in the 90's. My first exposure to EDM was back in Tampa Bay at a teen club in Brandon called OFF limits. . Tracks like James Brown is dead, dominator, out of space, and go speed racer. First time I heard it I was like wow this is incredible. I started hitting Tampa night clubs like the Krush in downtown Tampa where mostly hip hop and booty music was being played. But every so often they would throw in some EDM like let me be your fantasy,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and planet soul. My love for EDM grew. I attended my first late night at a club in Tampa called Ozone. I was confused it was 4am Sunday morning what the hell am I and all these people doing partying at this hour. My cousin car was towed we left at about 5 and over all it was not a good experience. A few months later I met an exotic dancer and we become very close friends. She was a total raver. She use to come home Sunday morning in the best mood wide awake and offered to take me to a place called the Fantasy Ranch. Now I get it. I feel in love with the scene the vibe and the people. Never in my life had I felt so accepted. I attended the Fantasy Ranch almost every weekend after that except when there was a festival going on. The scene became my life. All week I would look forward to Saturday night. When I say the scene was my life I am not exaggerating. I became involved in illegal activities at these events. Many times during rave years i did want to start djing. I was just to involved in other aspects of the scene I just never got to it. In 2001 after many arrests, probation and house arrest I was finally forced into early retirement by HCSO and the FDLE. I ended up with a 10 year prison sentence. I came home in early 2009 with a large list of things I wanted to do with my life. Djing was one of them. I realize I my never play a big club or event. I don't care I look at it as a passion. Things were different when I came home. I went to the clubs I use to go to and they no longer played the music I partied to. It was a different scene bottle service, dress codes and hip hop dj's. I use to be able to go out every night of the week and have a choice of which clubs I wanted to attend that played my music. Now its hard to find a club that plays breaks at least one night a week. So now I don't go out unless its a planned event to see DJs that are in town. I learned a trade on my own while I was inside.

DJ D-Xtreme
DJ D-Xtreme

One of the most influential DJs of the Florida dance scene has returned for another bout in the ever so evolving scene we call dance. This DJ is no stranger to those who have been around for the madness he stirred up on the legendary nights at his former homes: “The Abyss” & “The Club@Firestone” in Orlando, FL! In a city once known as the Euro Epicenter for dance music, D-Xtreme was right in the middle of it. D-Xtreme was introduced to the Electronica sound by Orlando pioneer DJ Kimball Collins in 1987. He began playing several small venues until he ran into guy walking around saying he was going to open a club. That guy happened to be Unknown World’s own Najib Elmasri. He was offered a residency at the new dance club called “The Abyss”. Playing 3 times a week next to his partner DJ Stylus, the madness began. In 1992 “The Abyss” became one of Florida’s premiere spots for banging underground dance music. The nights ran into each other every week and a star was quickly shining. As his popularity grew, D-X began to develop such a big following that it led him to a residency at one of the biggest and prominent spots in Florida club scene, “The Club@Firestone”. As a resident at “The Club”, he made it become the place to go and hear overseas DJs & artists for the first time in the states. He was able to showcase his talents alongside some of the biggest DJs not only of that time but now as well. During that time “The Club” was voted the best Club in the USA by Rolling Stones Magazine and Mixmag. Flying around the world was nothing for DX as he traveled heavily to support his new found popularity. During all this D-Xtreme ran Vinyl Frontier for three years and made it Orlando's #1 record store for hot underground dance music. With countless nights of pure pleasure, this DJ brought the Club to a frenzy every Saturday night for 4 years until the city stepped in and shut the party down by changing the drinking and club hours. The club survived but the night went away. When all was said and done the impact was left and the night has been called legendary ever since. That was then. This is now. What is he doing now? In 2008, D-Xtreme partnered up with Trance legend George Acosta to form Grooveman Recordings, a label focused on all genres of quality dance music. During the same time period he also joined forces with music partner Nology and dove deep into the production side of things to further develop this talented artist’s skills. Currently he is working on multiple remixes for several top artists including George Acosta, Keoki, Nocera, DJ Wag, Deetrix & more, adding more as each day passes. It is only a matter of time before you will see the results from such a hard working individual. Adding to the madness, he’s also an A&R rep for (d.)pulse recordings, a label & distribution company that deals with Sony, Universal Music, Cargo Records, IDC and many more majors and distributors. In the same period in 2008, through the channels of Grooveman, he became the Music & Media Managing Partner at Unknown World Entertainment Group. His fresh blood in the company has helped push it into areas the company has never gone before. He feels he has found a home and plans on building on the foundation that is already there. In addition to all those things he is currently set to hit the road and inject his energetic sets to the masses. Look for several dates with George Acosta, Edgar V & Bill Hamel on an Unknown World sponsored tour. This Mini-Tour will start in the state of Florida, work its way through all the major clubs there and branch out to other cities in the US. As you can see this DJ/Producer/Label Owner/A&R Rep/Managing Partner is moving in all directions and headed the right way in order to re-establish himself as a truly special artist. Stay tuned…you won’t want to miss a beat! http://www.djdxtreme.com http://www.facebook.com/dxtreme http://www.myspace.com/djdxtreme http://www.twitter.com/djdxtreme http://www.unknownworld.com http://www.soundcloud.com/djdxtreme
