I was born 49 years ago and have been close to music since childhood. As a young man, I decided I wanted to become a DJ. **My professional start** came in 1993. That’s when I fully committed to mixing and creating music for discos and club events. My distinctive style and energetic performances quickly won me popularity, and I gradually became a familiar face in the local club circuit. **During my career**, I had the amazing opportunity to travel and perform on various stages. These experiences enriched me immensely, not just musically but also as a person. I learned to feel the crowd’s energy, and my mixing skills became my trademark, propelling me to the top of the local DJ scene. **After years spent in the prime of my career**, I felt in 2008 that it was time for a change. I decided to end my active DJ career and devote myself to other interests and responsibilities. Though I no longer play at major events today, my passion for music and mixing still burns within me. **I’m still part of** our local music community, and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved for DJ culture. Always been in a relationship with Music and enjoy any involvement in listening to, making or mixing, and that has been the case as long as I can remember. I Dont claim to be the best mixer in the world but love the process and have been more than a little excited by the reaction of mates and acquaintances. I initially started loading them up on the net as I was being asked to copy the music and give out discs etc. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> Just seemed much simpler this way. </span> As I said I have always loved music and have written tracks working with great local producers over the years <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> although I tend to just write lyrics these days </span> <span style="font-family: Calibri;">As far as Mixing goes I have a residency in my bedroom most weekends occasionally play in my kitchen and in talks about maybe getting my kit set up in my living room</span> Joking aside, it is very much a hobby but still take it reasonably seriously and always seem to be listening out to tunes that I feel will benefit my record collection. Music has been a place of inner peace and I hope you enjoy my sharing of it! Born and Raised in NYC and now in the ATL. I have been mixing since I was 14 years old. As a young fella I can remember watching DJ Starski, Grandmaster Flash, Kool Herc, DJ The Red Alert to name a few hooking their equipment to the lamp poles in the parks in the South Bronx and Harlem it was on. The MCs were hyping or moving the crowd for the Deejays. When I moved from the Bronx to Queens, I joined the Gemini Crew and I was DJ Johnny Quick on the 1 and 2 with the cross fader. My Dad owned a night club in Brooklyn, so music was everywhere. As I got older and started going to the club scene in NYC there was one DJ that was such a technician and I often called him a Scientist the Legendary DJ Larry Levan famous for the Paradise Garage. He told a story when he mixed -- depending on current events, highs and lows in the City. As a DJ we must feel the mode and pulse on the crowd and provide them with a theme...
