UPDATE: I am no longer working on this project I started working on a new project lately as Orbit5 ... thank you for those who supported and to those who enjoyed my sets.Music feeds our souls and fills our hearts. My love for music goes back to the 80's with new wave, old school rap, alternative, techno, and much more. I learned it is easier to appreciate things even if they have no impact to me then to not appreciate things in life at all. My friends and family have been my inspiration and great supporters in my life. first and importantly DJ Charles Torrance R.I.P. and my closest friend as a brother that got me into being a dj: DJ Jorge Espaza. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, DarkerDaze realized his passion for DJing in the mid 90’s. Inspired by San Francisco’s underground rave scene DD took up mixing when he was 17. By the time he was 19 he was playing at underground parties all over the West Coast alongside big name Dj’s like Josh the Funky1, Demarkus Lewis, M3, Rick Preston, Ron Reeser, Hector Morales, and Pete Moss to name a few. By the time he was 25 he was an established DJ in the underground scene, but didn’t want to be limited to one sound that defined him. In 2006 he got to meet and watch who would later become his inspiration to break into the Mainstream, Adam Goldstein(DJ AM). Awed by AM’s ability to mix multiple genres and keep the crowd going crazy the entire time, he knew it was time to make a change. By 2007 DarkerDaze completely transformed his style of mixing from Deep Dubby House to Club Style/Mashups and was playing in a lot of the Bay Area’s most popular nightclubs. Including holding residencies at Aura Nightclub, Spin Nightclub(REDUX), and Red Rhino Ultra Lounge. He also founded one of the Bay Area’s most popular and successful monthly parties, BeatfreaQ. HipHop, Rock, House, Dubstep…are all things you can hear at any given time in DarkerDaze’s mixes. His creativity and ability to read and connect with the crowd is what makes him one of the Bay Area’s more popular DJ’s. In early 2010 he was asked to join one of the California’s most prestigious DJ Crews, The Record Rockers. Since then his popularity and demand has been even greater than before.
