BIOG I've been d.j. ing since 1988 - After discovering house music from listening to Stu Allan's house hour on Key 103 I began collecting house and techno vinyl. During the early 90's I played on Pirate station - Bliss FM in Middlesbrough. During the mid 90's I played at events in Bradford including the stimulations all nighters and floating bong nights. After a number of years in China I began producing my own music and had one of my first productions 'Unite' featured on Radio 1. I've released music as 'James Sandoz' on Peeled tracks and as 'Hydrosphere' on Dash Deep. My influences include Sasha and Digweed, Nick Warren, Pete Tong, Stu Allan, Paul Taylor and Layo and Bushwaka. I am also heavily influenced by the clubs I frequented in the early 90's namely - Legends, Bowlers, Angels, Havana and the Atmosphere events.

From the main stage to the underground and back in the days. Captivated by the invisible force of music and the magnificent thought that the right track dropped at the right time can change it all I started to compile my own music discs for smaller events and family gatherings. And because this soon was not enough I started virtual djing back in 2009 on my home computer... Well yes I've come a long way until today and before Covid 19 dropped I have had the chance to play many events such as wedding celebrations, birthday parties or company anniversaries as a hit deejay...and also entering the clubs and small festivals stages playing house, commercial, techno and progressive live sets mainly back to back with my beast buddy DJ Altavozzz. La mia passione per la musica Dance e verso la professione di Dj è iniziata nel 1978. DJ REST è lo pseudonimo che usavo da ragazzo, e deriva dal fatto che negli anni 80 si registravano i dj set su cassette. Quando si volevano fare dei tagli si usava la "pausa" dei registratori a cassette e il sottoscritto la usava molto bene. Per non usare lo pseudonimo "PAUSE", usammo il corrispondente di PAUSA in Inglese: REST, da lì Dj Rest. Nell'indirizzo E-Mail è stato aggiunto From Sardinia perchè in giro per il mondo ci sono altri Dj Rest.
