Marco was born in 1977. He was raised in Edinburgh Scotland's capital city brought up on a diet of clubs and raves and the free party seen, Marco’s first real break came in the late 90’s when he entered the Vestax DJ Mixing Competition which he was runner up in the contest, this raised his profile amongst local promoters. Which lead to him being offered a number of gigs, some of which became residencies, around his home town of Edinburgh and various other towns and Cities in Scotland this also led to him supporting artist like Mr C, Kenny Larkin, Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens, Mathew Herbert, Felix The Housecat, Seb Fontaine, Jim Shaft Ryan, Murray Richardson and Timo Mass. Marco's rise from total obscurity has been achieved due to his natural ability, genuine enthusiasm, and his constant desire to improve his craft.Technical excellence is very important to Marco, so when he is not playing out you will find him practicing, mixing and experimenting with various styles, endeavouring to constantly improve his already very impressive D.J. capabilities. Marco describes his sound as Mainroom Groovy Business a bit of tech a bit of house which meet in the middle some where and the outcome is magical , he mixes in a style that moves and grabs any dance floor, no matter what direction he chooses to take it, once he has captured you with his inventive style there is no escape until he has spun his last tune .Coming straight from the dance floor, Marco knows instinctively what it is a crowd wants, and how to deliver it, his genuine love for music is abundantly clear. I'm a music fan stuck on jungle, idm, dub, chill, minimal some. I do listen to almost everything though. If it's good I listen to it. I'm amazed at the number of artists there must be to produce such prolific amounts of recordings for the amount of djs there are mixing this stuff. And I wonder where I would find such music anywhere else than here, for one. You know a virtual conundrum. Where is it in my real life? Short of internet radio, certainly not fm!?There again , that virtual stuff...Big Ups to all the artists in this community!

23 years at the decks endorse the trajectory and experience of this disc-jockey and producer from Sevilla, Spain. Raúl Navarrete aka DeeJayKul. Armed with a great knowledge and passion for black music in all its forms from a very early age (Soul, Jazz, Funk, House, Electro, Hip Hop), he has been resident DJ in the most emblematic clubs in Sevilla: Bestiario, Catedral, BuBus. His purpose as a DJ has always been to show the public all that unknown dance music, staying away from orthodox sounds.His career begins in 1997, remixing a track for Sindicato del Crimen. Thanks to this remix he releases “Mondofonk” with Boozo Records, legendary Spanish label belonging to DJ Tony Rox. From that moment on, his music is included in several compilations, such as TARIFA GROOVE SESSIONS, CAFÉ SOLAIRE, he begins to produce local new soul artists such as Diargi, Nalaya, and , composes the music for the SONY Spain advertising campaign, combining all this with live performances in festivals such as SONAR 99 and ESPARRAGO 2000. His latest release, BACK TO BASICS, released with Andy Compton’s PENG RECORDS in the UK is a symbiosis of all this musical restlessness accumulated over the years. It combines the essence of electronica and 80’s funk with the new conceptions of New Jazz, House, and Hip Hop. Now growing up in the southwest which had the great obsession, fantazia, events in 92, 93, 94 what would now be thought of as old skool. dj sy, easygroove, ellis dee, ratpack, vibes to name a few were the djs that i used to listen to. i used to go around buying all the tape packs from the latest events. nowadays ive got my own decks and love to do a bit of mixing just as a hobby really. AS MY FATHER USED TO BE A DRUMMER ! I DISCOVERED MY LOVE TO THE MUSIC IN MY URLY AGES. WITH 12 YEARS I STARTED TO DO MI FIRST MIX TAPES'S AND 2 YEAR LATER I DID SPIN MY FIRST TIME IN A LOCAL CLUB IN OUR VILLAGE BECAUSE OF MY JOB I HAD TO STEP BACK WITH THE MUSIC .... FIEW YEARS LATER I RESTARTED WITH DJ'ING AND DID BUILD UP MY OWN HOME STUDIO. FROM TIME TO TIME I USED TO PLAY IN SOME LOCAL CLUBS ARROUND ZÜRICH, BUT I NEVER DID IT PROFESSIONAL, IT WAS ALWAYS A HOBBY AND LOVE TO THE MUSIC FOR ME. 2 YEARS AGO I COMPLETLY RESTARTED WITH THE MUSIC AND KEEP PUSHING IT IN ALL WAYS AND DIRECTIONS .....

Dear Friends of Music Since I can go, I have been interested in music. I could never save money during my apprenticeship, because I spent everything on new LPs and musicarrangements. Meanwhile a music studio had become from my room, later even a really professional mix studio. Till this day I observe the music scene daily. Little does more joy than good sound to me. In the meantime, I have mixed more than 40000 sound carriers as well as some sampler. Of course you are able to pre-listen on my homepage my newest CDs. However, you can still discover even more.In the 90s I have often worked also as a DJ. I put on in events, in clubs, in radio stations and in roller skate discos. I have had a music studio called Soundfactory for about 20 years and produce tracks and mix different tapes Nu Disco Deep House Soul Funk Jazz everything I like and if you feel like it you are welcome
