I started listening to music since he was 8 years old, my first console I got it at 17 I was delighted with the years 80s, then I am passed to the techno-acid. They were good times and all vinyl. In 1994 I started to appreciate techno -hardcore, after which they are passed to the hardcore and still are today. I'm not a professional DJ. I also began to appreciate the genre hardstyle and rawstyle. However I like all kinds. I'm an amateur at-home DJ still learning the ropes. I'm 67 years old and love listening to a wide range of music, mostly House, Dance, Disco, and Reggae, as well as some country. Hi Everyone . I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat.
