House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. Born in Oakland California in 1973, DJ Big Papa started experiencing DJing during the 80's in the subway stations while his crew break danced on cardboard for tips. He later was the DJ for school dances and was the one who cued music for talent shows and plays. Being from a musician background family, and while playing many instruments himself, has helped him to develop the ear and passion for music. ; DJ Big Papa moved to Missouri in 1989 and gave up DJing for a while due to the fact of the small town he moved to had no desire for a DJ at the time. In 1999 DJ Big Papa moved back to California's Bay area and pursued his dream once again. He was a Club DJ in San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland and even as far south ; as L.A. ; ; ; In 2002 DJ Big Papa picked up and moved to Key West Florida and got many DJing Jobs there. With over 350 Bars and Night clubs on Key West's small 2 mile by 4 mile island, everyone wanted Him to spin at their Clubs. ; Finally in 2004 DJ Big Papa Moved back to Missouri to be with Family and Got jobs DJing at the local night Clubs in his Area. He has also worked on local radio stations with his "LIVE DJ Big Papa Mix Shows" DJ Big Papa has started his own production studio and mobile DJ service spinning at parties and weddings. Now he Is doing guest spinning at the local clubs. DJ Big Papa is also becoming a popular web celeb, with his mixes and mash-ups being heard all over the world. Been a DJ since 96, Played on various Prate radio Stations and London Clubs. Started Mixing oldskool House & Garage but have mixed upfront drum and bass & Liquid drum and bass in the 2000's. My heart will aways be with my oldskool house and garage though. I could never part with my collection in fact, they will be buried with me! 😁😁 I currently play Minimal, Tech, Deep, Tribal and soulful House, Amapiano, Liquid Drum & Bass as well as Old Skool House and Garage, mainly from about 1991-1998 alternatively on ChoicefmUK each and every Wednesday from 8pm-10pm (UK time) 🔈🔉🔊🎵🎶🎶🎤🎧 Apart from my family, Music Is the key to my life.
