bought my 1st set of decks in 92 ... Sound Lab belt drives ... good huh? lol   but i, and others learnt how to mix on them and were better for having done so as other DJ's, who only ever played on technics couldn't play on anything else lol   i love oldskool ... 92 is probz my fav year though i love to play 93/96 funky house   Though i much prefer playing on the 1210's, i have embraced technology and will happily play on any media (CD's, USB's, Midi Controller or even just stand-alone VDJ)   you can catch me playing online on alternate Sunday's on OSKP Radio from 4-5pm (UK time) www.oskp-radio.com   you can also see videos of my shows on my FB page here https://www.facebook.com/tonydjtstanding main FB profile https://www.facebook.com/DJTonyStanding My youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/DJTonyStanding?feature=plcp

my love affair with music started in 94 & i started DJing in 98. at first i was buying happy hardcore & house but as the years progressed i started buying most styles of dance music. i have played at various events including Fantazia/Illusion, The Concept Club, Revive, HeavenzHalo, Encapsulated Energy, Rave Radio, In-ter-dance, Heritage & Unity. i also used to run two pirate radio stations in Stoke On Trent & more recently have played on various internet radio stations including Rave Info, Nu-Perception Radio, Raiders Of The Old Skool/Raiders Radio, Impulse Radio, UR Radio (also head of radio), Rave Radio, Breakage Radio, Desiderium Radio & Asylum Radio. my favorite era in music is 86-99 after then imo it sadly changed musically in the wrong direction, although i do like the odd tune after then & upfront hardcore techno/gabba (& its various sub genres) & makina. i have all sorts in my collection including hardcore, bouncy techno, gabba, techno, jungle/dnb, hip hop/house, house, acid house, trance, old skool, breaks/breakbeat, hard trance, hardstyle, makina, trancecore & freeform etc. my favorite styles that i like to play are house, old skool, 90s happy hardcore & bouncy techno. im an old skool head so i dont like much new music, most of what i play is tunes that i grew up with & im still buying vinyl mostly tunes i missed out on the first time round. for bookings: raindancerob.com@gmail.com

Music has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember and im confident to say its shaped who I am today. From a very young age I was very much into Syththesized music , especially Jean Michelle Jarre (one of my all time heroes). Along side this I loved early electro house and Detroit techno so naturally , was blown away with the late 80’s acid house explosion and even more so by the early 90’s Rave explosion, and this is where my passion really set in. I first went on a pair of decks at the tender age of 9 years old (1991), and around this time got 1xdeck for Christmas, now….clearly you don’t have to be a dj to understand that this is useless for mixing, but, for beatmatching, this was the best thing you could imagine! Id beatmatch vinyls to tapes,or anything that was playing in the house, and by the time I got my 2nd deck and mixer at 12years old, the learning curve of beatmatching was already mastered! Now, musically , im predominantly Hardcore, always have been, from early breakbeat hardcore right through to todays sounds. Ive loved the evolution of the sound and have the same passion for the sound as I did 20 years ago. Trance was a major influence for me in the 90’s too , especially Paul Oakenfold/Sasha/Digweed to name a few….their ability to seamlessly blend tracks together over the course of an hour or so and leave me feeling like id been on a musical journey really inspired me and applied this same technique to everything I mixed. Today, I concentrate mainly on Uk Hardcore and Hard dance, which while im “here” must mention how impressed and inspiring I find hard dance at the mo , from the techy minimal sounds right through to the tough hardstyle sounds of Europe, I feel this scene has got a lot to offer and has something for everyone. Im loving the Hard dance scene as a whole at the moment, whether it be Breakbeats/Kickdrums/trancey/ravey/techy/fast/slow…..the scene in my eyes is as diverse as its ever been, whatever others may think! Music is a way of life!

DJ TONY D : OVER 200 MIXES FREE FOR DOWNLOAD www.djtonyd.weebly.com/ Loads of other free mixes on housemixes.com www.house-mixes.com/profile/tony-d Friend me on Facebook for notification posts for when new mixes are up www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profi…php?id=681573913 . Started mixing in the late 80's,with house music like orbital,klf,8o8 state etc and the chicargo/detroit scene that was big around that time and moved right through into the beginning of Belgium techno and hardcore scene and into Jungle/ D&B from 92 onwards aswel. Would mix most styles of dance music from house to progressive, garage and big beat etc. If it had a beat and I had enough tunes for a mix id mix it. Loving the Hardcore Breaks / Nu skool Breaks scene at the moment, thats keeping the old skool scene going.I've never prepped or worked out a mix ever, just cue the first two and of i go with just the tunes laid out in front of me.This way i feel the music and vibe more and its where i get my kick, mixing the way it should be done. Will only upload a mix im sure makes the grade. I love doing mixes of megamixes too and upload them every couple of weeks or so.

Hi, I'm Dave, from Coventry, and i started djing way back in 1990, while still at school, inspired by legends Sasha and Carl Cox after listening to sets, given to me from older friends! I spent a lot of my time during the early 90's at the legendary club Eclipse, in Coventry, where i met lots of fantastic people including some of the finest DJ's around at the time, doing a couple of sets in Marco Polo, Birmingham. I also ventured across the midlands, clubbing wise, to places including Shelley's, Institute and Coast 2 Coast. After 5 years, i fell out of love with the scene, seeing as it was changing and not to my liking, to be honest and in 1995 i gave up raving and djing. Kept my vinyl, though, just in case!! Got back into it in 2006 after listening to online radio playing a lot of oldskool, and thought I'd give it another go. Not had the confidence to play out again, since but you never know..... Favourite DJ's. Carl Cox, Sasha, Ellis Dee, Stu Allan, Ratty, Tango, Ray Keith, Mark Archer. Clubs. Eclipse, Shelley's, Institute, Coast 2 Coast
