I first started djing around about 12 years ago when i was 17. It was by chance i knew a dj in a bar and one week he asked me if i could do his set for him as he couldnt make it and gave me a brief lesson on what to do and from there i was hooked. I started getting sets playing hip hop and garage in Doncaster and sheffield and then discovered speed garage in 2001 and then started playing that. During that time myself and 2 others started a label called Gridlockd Records which became one of the biggest labels in the scene in a very short time as we were the only label making original tracks. Fast forward 12 years and in that time i played the first bassline set on bbc 1xtra, put together a compilation for ministry of sound (Maximum bass 2007) And had tracks signed to mos and all around the world (Universal). I decided in 2008 that i wasnt gonna pidgeonhole myself to one genre and went self employed as a dj and tutor. Around that time i got my own show on local legal radio station sine fm and my weekend vibes show did so well they moved me from 2-3 sat afternoon to 6-8 saturday night the show before dj legend graeme park. Nowadays i do a show called the history of Dance music on sine fm 102.6fm in Doncaster or www.sinefm.com worldwide every tuesday evening 8pm-10pm.

; ; ; ; ;PLEASE COMMENT ON ALL MIXES DOWNLOADED SCROLL TO THE VERY BOTTOM TO SEE ALL CD COVERS OF MY MIXES UPLOADED AND ON THE WAY I am a Dj from San Francisco who took the groove and the impotance of what we all play very seriously, and was there in SF for the early massive rave parties in warehouses such as A Rave called Sharon, The Gatherings, Funky Techno Tribe, Then the Bonny Dune parties on the beach with the Wicked Crew (I was there as an attendee). My djing started in 1984 with Rock it and Egyptian Lover records, and I must say to anyone starting out, know your basslines, know the different mixes on the vinyl and mostly beat match on the 8,16 count, very important. Uploaded are my best mixes and more coming. If you are familiar with Jeno from Wicked and Sasha&Digweed, then welcome to my sound. All credits go to the artists and remixers on the wax for their fine, we as dj's mash it up finely to serve it well. Any comments you want to leave, feel free. My style was classified as this & quote; The thump, pumpin, ;funkin groovin, psycho disco house of movin; also The male groove for a female move. To play anything it has to have strength, a strong bassline, build up to something, be soulful, or if its trance it MUST take you on a journey and each record, I repeat each record MUST compliment one another. I always chose the dub mixes on the vinyl, or it HAD to be the twisted darker soulful version. Anything with echoes, a sinister sound or vocal or hypnotic type to it. I couldnt be mainstream. Why be the next Dj playing spin spin sugar, though it's a fine tune, put it this way, find a style you like, and make yourself different from anyone else. If anyone downloads my mixes I'll be willing to send the CD cover via email. Cheers, name is Max.

Hi everyone, and greetings from California! I go by the alias BlackhawkSC. During the day I'm one of those anonymous techies hopefully making others' lives better :) But since I fell in love with trance in the late 90s, I've started out casually editing individual tracks for my personal library, then later creating CD length mixes for myself and my friends. I favor melodic and progressive trance with a touch of other genres like electo and prog house in my compilations. Flow of the melody and variety is very important to me and influences my track selection. Most of the time I leave the tracks unadulterated and only adding effects, loops, overlays etc to suit the compilation, as well as to make the transitions more interesting. Speaking of transitions, I try to be creative sometimes without taking away from the tracks that precede and follow. Take a listen, I think you will enjoy my mixes. My mixes are modeled after my favorite compilation series, A State of Trance by Armin van Buuren. I started listening to AvB in the late 90s with his AVB00x compilation series. Paul van Dyk's compilations are always good as well but I find that the tracks are significantly altered and they only play for about 3 minutes each. Individual producers come and go too fast for me to mention...

JHS is the main alias for Joost Slager. JHS was born in the eastern part of The Netherlands in 1982. At the age of 10 he came in contact with dance music true compact-discs and cassettes from his brother. From the age of 16 he began to visit festivals like Mysteryland, Thunderdome, DefQuon 1, Trance Energy and many more together with his brother in law. From this moment on he has been hooked up on different electronic music styles. Within the years he began to appreciate more and more different styles and learned to love them in there own way. But his passion is the strongest for Trance and Hardtrance. Producing: JHS started out using Magix Music Maker to combine sounds and creating tracks of his own. In the mean while he experimented with other programs to find out what program he liked the most. His choice became FL Studio. The first track he produced using FL Studio (and of course different plugins) is “Tantrum”. After this track he produced several other ideas but untill now has not yet finished a other track. Dj-ing: JHS has had an interest in Dj-ing since he first visited a (dance)festival. Buying a simple mixer and using his standard CD-player combined with a record player he tried mixing tracks together. With a friend he even hosted a drive-in music show that could be booked for parties. During his study JHS bought some more professional record players and a better mixer and played with them as much as he could. Due to a lack of time he sold them and didn’t mix for a while. In 2010 JHS started dj-ing again and this time using his computer and a controller (Hercules Dj MK4). With this he started his own podcasts called “Sounds of Chemistry”.
