Numark TT 1910 Direct drive turntables (Shit i know but i've had em for over 10 years and they still work better than most new numark turntables on the market at the mo) Numark DM 1100SE Performance series mixer (Another antique lol but i learnt to mix on this and wouldn't give it up for the world). Virtual DJ Pro Infinity 8, and have just added a Numark Mixtrack Platinum to my collection, awesome controller. Have also just got a pair of Numark NDX 400's, great cd decks.

I'm an amateur at-home DJ still learning the ropes. I'm 68 years old and love listening to a wide range of music, mostly House, Dance, Disco, and Reggae, as well as some country. My productions are definitely remixes and mashups. I also do a lot of sets. My style is definitely different from most DJs. I play most of the big radio stations. AH.FM or DI.FM ... Music has been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember and im confident to say its shaped who I am today. From a very young age I was very much into Syththesized music , especially Jean Michelle Jarre (one of my all time heroes). Along side this I loved early electro house and Detroit techno so naturally , was blown away with the late 80’s acid house explosion and even more so by the early 90’s Rave explosion, and this is where my passion really set in. I first went on a pair of decks at the tender age of 9 years old (1991), and around this time got 1xdeck for Christmas, now….clearly you don’t have to be a dj to understand that this is useless for mixing, but, for beatmatching, this was the best thing you could imagine! Id beatmatch vinyls to tapes,or anything that was playing in the house,and by the time I got my 2nd deck and mixer at 12years old, the learning curve of beatmatching was already mastered! Now, musically , im predominantly Hardcore, always have been, from early breakbeat hardcore right through to todays sounds. Ive loved the evolution of the sound and have the same passion for the sound as I did 20 years ago. Trance was a major influence for me in the 90’s too , especially Paul Oakenfold/Sasha/Digweed to name a few….their ability to seamlessly blend tracks together over the course of an hour or so and leave me feeling like id been on a musical journey really inspired me and applied this same technique to everything I mixed. Today, I concentrate mainly on Uk Hardcore and Hard dance, which while im “here” must mention how impressed and inspiring I find hard dance at the mo , from the techy minimal sounds right through to the tough hardstyle sounds of Europe, I feel this scene has got a lot to offer and has something for everyone. Im loving the Hard dance scene as a whole at the moment, whether it be Breakbeats/Kickdrums/trancey/ravey/techy/fast/slow…..the scene in my eyes is as diverse as its ever been, whatever others may think! Music is a way of life!

Kitlist – 2 x Technics 1210’s, Pioneer DJM 600, 1 x Pioneer CDJ100, 1 x Denon DNS3000 I’ve been mixing now for 14 years and started buying vinyl a short while before getting my decks in 1997. Since then my collection has grown rapidly. My first gig came in 1998 after sending a demo mix to a Northern Ireland dance magazine. That one night got me hooked and I went on to play several other events as well as organizing a few of my own. In recent years I’ve been playing mostly Internet radio sites such as Hardcore United, Hcore FM and Cheeky Tunes as well as the odd gig here and there. I try to be as diverse as possible in my sets and play a wide variety of styles.

Mark Maddox is a Dj from the Northwest of England with over 25yrs experience. Starting out as an 18yr old doing warm up sets for the 96.7FM Radio City Dj's in Mr Smiths Warrington, he soon started getting a reputation for being a diverse Dj as he mixed between genres to build up an energy on the dance floor. That quickly saw Mark being asked to do some warm up sets for the cult tv show Hitman And Her with Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachen. Going past the 90's Dance and Rave scene, Mark fell in love with House music. That passion allowed Mark to grow even more as a Dj and it wasn't too long before he was doing full House sets for some of the worlds most renowned brands. Over the years Mark has travelled across the UK and Europe playing on gigs alongside the likes of David Morales, Erick Morillo, Chicane, Pete Tong, Tall Paul, Boy George, Judge Jules, Whelan and Di Scala (now Camelphat), Anton Powers, David Dunne, Dave Graeme, Esquire, K Klass, Pianoman, Awesome 3, Dream Frequency, Dancing Divas, and many more... as well as playing sets with some of the worlds best Sax, Percussionists, and Electric Violinists to ever grace the dance music industry. Mark has performed in front of crowds ranging from 50 to 10,000 for club brands and venues such as Cream, Ministry Of Sound, Gatecrasher, Enigma Ibiza (ex Kanya Beach Club), Es Paradis Ibiza, Eden Ibiza (where he performed the closing set of the summer in 2019), Ibiza Rocks (for which he held a residency in 2019), Float Your Boat Ibiza, Beat Herder Festival, Widcombe Festival (where he closed the stage after Basement Jaxx), and the sell out Indian Summer Festival (where Mark's brand Royal House held their own tent), and Utopia Ibiza Festival where Mark has headlined for the past 2 years (2021 & 2022). Mark has also performed at corporate events for Toni & Guy, Adidas, and Selfridges, as well as doing exclusive Wedding, Birthday, Boat, Pool, and event After Parties for celebrity and private clients.
