Xponent Advanced - M AUDIO & Traktor Pro 2 Marko K was born in January 1971 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From a very early age he showed more than an interest in music. He was born in a family of musicians and singers. His father was a professional classical guitar player. One of the rare musicians, at that time, who played a seven-string guitar. Also his uncles played other instruments like bass, cavaquinho and percussion. In addition, his mother and aunts also sang. As a DJ... In Brazil he always had his gigs at friends' birthday parties, gatherings and private events. In 1999, away from his hometown, he was invited to have his first gig at Arena Nightclub in Los Angeles, California. That was when his DJ career shot up internationally. Djing House Music around the world... Marko K. has already had gigs in Rio (Brazil), Los Angeles and San Francisco (USA), London (UK), Berlin (Germany), Oslo (Norway) and Moscow (Russia). David’s passion for dance music has spanned more than 20 years, during which time he has captivated and inspired audiences all around the world as both a DJ and Producer. His experience, versatility, ability and understanding of music and how to excite a dance floor enables David to create moments that can only be described as more… “It’s not just about the records, but how they are played" David’s musical roots lead back to the 80’s hip hop electro and early house scenes, initially as a break dancer, raver and then local DJ. It wasn’t however until 1996 on returning from a trip to Ibiza and experiencing the White Isles magic that David chose to channel his energy fully into music. Since then he has DJ'ed up & down the UK and overseas playing house, club classics and trance. Highlights have included gigs in South Africa, USA & Madeira with sets for Cream, Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Pukka Up and Escape in the Park plus a number of residencies in Brighton and London, most notably at The Honeyclub, Brighton. During his career David has DJ’ed alongside many of the leading figures including Danny Rampling, Anthony Pappa, and Matt Darey. Additionally he has received recognition for his DJ’ing abilities winning the progressive category of Guy Ornadel’s ‘Future Talent’ Competition (which was run in association with Ministry of Sound), being a runner up in IDJ Magazines Readers Mix Tapes and featuring on “DJ’s Complete Guide” DVD. ‘David Rees has that extra bit of majique’ IDJ Magazine With a natural talent for shaping music, David has rolled out a number of studio tracks since 1999, collaborating with Rod Layman, Clive Mead and Mark Broom, some featuring vocalists such as Lara McAllen (Angel City) and Coco (Fragma). A number of these productions have been released under guises - Mischief, One, Moonbase, Rees & Mead and Thought of One on labels including Mischief Digital, Kickin Music, Celestial Records, Adjust Recordings, Essential Direct, New Sound 2000, Soulstorm and Aquarius Recordings. Over the years support has been received from Tall Paul, Boy George, Mike Gray, Tim Lennox, Danny Slade, Phats & Small, Greg Stainer, Brandon Block, DJ Magazine, NME and IDJ. David has also promoted club nights ‘Presence’, judged ‘DMC’ mixing championship heats, been director of a collective and worked for John Digweed, which usually resulted in driving to the airport and back! Dear Friends of Music Since I can go, I have been interested in music. I could never save money during my apprenticeship, because I spent everything on new LPs and musicarrangements. Meanwhile a music studio had become from my room, later even a really professional mix studio. Till this day I observe the music scene daily. Little does more joy than good sound to me. In the meantime, I have mixed more than 40000 sound carriers as well as some sampler. Of course you are able to pre-listen on my homepage my newest CDs. However, you can still discover even more.In the 90s I have often worked also as a DJ. I put on in events, in clubs, in radio stations and in roller skate discos. Sasha Skiff a.k.a.Ultraverse had his strong passion for Electronic Dance Music since his first time going clubbing to the popular London venue - club “UK” , where he falls in love with dance music scene, and the whole idea of becoming Dj and producer was born there . The major influence was Lee Burridge ,Tall Paul , Sasha and John Digweed .Without any delay he started the Sampling and Sequencing course in London . Shortly after moving to Dublin - he finishes Sound Engineering college . From that moment Dj Ultraverse started experimenting with his music and Djing in house parties . Currently Dj Ultraverse is doing regular uploads of his mixes to popular websites , and he builds loyal followers for his Dj mixes in Progressive and Deep House genre.
