DSM got his start behind the decks, being self-taught on SL-1200s back in 2001. After working his way up through the scene, he became a mainstay in the Colorado scene - from small, underground warehouse parties to larger festivals, his name became synonymous with being the master of a variety of genres. Eventually also working his way into clubs like The Church, Beta, Vinyl and what is now known as Bar Standard, his diversity in track selection moved crowds of all types. Having semi-retired from 2015-2020 due to some personal tragedy and changed life goals, DSM re-emerged in 2020, getting back onto the decks - creating new, masterful mixes to deliver music he loves back to the scene he loves. Hi I'm 35 Years Old and have 3 kids and 4 Grandchildren. I have been mixing for few years now and started on vinyl then changed to cdj's around 4 months ago. i've not played out professionally just a couple of house parties, wood parties and two events in a small club that my cousin put on at local club in basingstoke, I'm progressing and hope to get out of my bedroom lol. hope you enjoy the set and tracks i put together, feel free to comment, download. many thanks.

I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. A very active member of Deep House community, Berkand is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. From the main stage to the underground and back in the days. Captivated by the invisible force of music and the magnificent thought that the right track dropped at the right time can change it all I started to compile my own music discs for smaller events and family gatherings. And because this soon was not enough I started virtual djing back in 2009 on my home computer...
