Numark TT 1910 Direct drive turntables (Shit i know but i've had em for over 10 years and they still work better than most new numark turntables on the market at the mo) Numark DM 1100SE Performance series mixer (Another antique lol but i learnt to mix on this and wouldn't give it up for the world). Virtual DJ Pro Infinity 8, and have just added a Numark Mixtrack Platinum to my collection, awesome controller. Have also just got a pair of Numark NDX 400's, great cd decks.

2x Pioneer CDJ 800 Mk2, 2x Technics 1210 Mk2, 1x Pioneer DJM 700, Sennheiser HD25 Mk2. I have joined this website as I have a keen interest in Hard Dance music and as a result have got into mixing as a hobby, I will be uploading various mixes in various styles onto the site.I first started to get into rave music with the north east scene and generally the Makina (Spanish Techno) sound, this was the main style of music I mixed and listened to for the first few years. Hard House is also a style I've always liked from when I got into rave music but have never really had one favourite artist, anything I like the sound of I go for.I then got into UK Hardcore in a big way when then likes of Recon, Squad-E and Gammer came about and generally bought tunes around the start of that era, from labels such as Next Generation, Blatant Beats and Raverbaby, although I've always been a fan of Quosh. As for more recently I have tended to buy UK Hardcore from new artists, if at all.After UK Hardcore I got into the Hard Bounce style a little, but got bored quite quickly. After a year stopped buying tracks.The next genre I found I enjoyed was new Hardstyle from such artists as Activator, D-Block And S-Te-Fan and Showtek, although I've found the genre has now become quite stale.Until recently I bought mostly Hard Dance in its various forms but still have a soft spot for the New Makina sound. I would say i'm 99.9% digital these days.With regards to Makina I've been getting into it quite a lot again and have bought a decent amount from Japan, who now seem to be the guys who make the best stuff. I bought my first set of turntables at the age of 13. It was one of those things that just come naturally. At 16 I started playing every fortnight at a local bar for an under 18’s night playing happy hardcore. Two years later, out of a thousand entrants my mix tape came top five in the ‘Ministry Of Sound DJ Of The Year’. I played a set live in Top Shop at Oxford Street in London on a busy Saturday afternoon.. I continued playing in competitions and talent nights along with a mid-week slot at a local bar. At 20, I was given full weekend residency at local nightclub Steam, playing old-skool, house and trance. The next two years I reached the final of the ‘Young DJ Of The Year’ competition, run by the regional radio station, Signal 1. I came out as overall winner of the competition in 2002. My prize was a pair of Technics 1210’s, mixer, flight cases and the opportunity to play a live set at Café Mambo in Ibiza. The win also landed me a set at the opening night of the Stoke club, Lomax, for the ‘Youth Upfront Awards’. I then tried to further my career by signing onto the internet DJ agency, Topjox and sending out demos to gain recognition. In the early summer of 2004 I decide to try my luck by booking a one way ticket to Ibiza. It was tough at first, but by the end of July I had a residency at the brilliant Plastik Lounge in San Antonio. After a few weeks playing with some of San An’s finest funky house DJ’s I was given the chance to warm up the decks in Es Paradis funky lounge. But best of all, after weeks of trying, Alex Ellenger, who with Judge Jules ran the funky room in Eden, give me the finest two hours of my DJ career by asking me to play. The next year I returned to Ibiza and became resident in the swanky new Hush bar. Ever since then I’ve had this idea of starting my own night locally and ’Filthy!Gorgeous’ is what i come up with. I then travelled to Ibiza again in 2009 playing in the top bars such as Hush (voted best bar in San Antonio ‘07 & ‘08) the brand new Upmarket lounge, Savannah’s sunset bar (back room) and enjoyed a set on the crazy ‘Pukka Up’ sunset party boat. Now I’m tech-house/hard house resident for local club night ‘Euphonic Fuzion’.
