“Music is my therapy. I love getting lost in music and the joyful feelings it stirs up in my chest. “ NixXxstaa (a.k.a Nikki Bothwick-Adams) A graduate of Lisa Lashes School of Music. Her love of music started out at a young age when she learned to play the recorder at school, and then went on to learn the saxophone too. Playing in an Orchestra at the age of 12. Nikki’s love of dance music happened in 2006 when she was at a friend’s house and they were playing Lisa Lashes Extreme Euphoria. From that moment she wanted to be a part of the scene and learn how to DJ. In the same year, Nikki found a copy of Virtual DJ and started to learn how to mix tunes together. She also had a regular show on an online radio station “Scouse-Nation” playing all sorts of genres from Scouse to Hardcore and Hardhouse. In 2014, Nikki met “The Madfams” A group of like-minded clubbers who met up at events around the UK. She used to attend after parties where there would be a set of decks. Nikki would take the time to learn how to use them asking for tips from her friends. She realised she caught the bug, and wanted her own set up, so she saved up for a few months, and eventually bought herself some Pioneer CDJ 1000s and a DJM 600 mixer. Every night after work, you would find Nikki in her bedroom practicing until the early hours. This soon paid off and in 2016, she was asked to play her first gig for Hard Hush in Brighton. Nikki has also played at the Madfam Reunion at 414, Brixton and Marvellous Minds, Stoke- on –Trent. In the summer of 2018, Nikki saw an opportunity to join Lisa Lashes School of Music. She applied and was super excited when she got the call to say she had a place on the course. The course has helped her with sharpening up her skills, and learning some new techniques with the mixer. The tutors must have noticed, as she was given the opportunity at Unity of Sound (the event Nikki and the other students created) to go B2B with one of her Idols in the Hardhouse scene “BK”.

i started djing at 16 after months of begging the parents for months to buy me some 1210s,which i still use today going strong.my passion in music has to be old school piano, retro and vocal funky house if you cant sing to it then its no good lol.in the early nineties i started going clubbing, and for me to this day was the best for music.when i first got my 1210s i had no intension of djing in clubs it was just a hobby for and for my own enjoyment.i was actually tricked by a fellow dj and good friend who was already djing in clubs, when he phoned me up one thurday night and said he was ill and needed me to help him out and play at a bar for him,to which i found out later it was actually a dj competition to which he entered me and to my surprise i won to which the prize was residency at bradfords biggest dance club which pulled 700 to 800 in every friday and saturday night,my first night djing in the club was christmas eve which was packed out and i was shitting it,it was a big difference mixing some tracks in the bedroom and then to bid audience but i absolutely loved it and was hooked, and so my djing career was born. within the first year things went from strength to strength playing in numerous clubs all over yorkshire and holding down residencys and playing alongside some of the biggest names in the country (alister whitehead,k klass, paul taylor just to name a few) i was more known as a dj for my old school sets and so i was made a resident for retro which took me to ibiza djing at eden and loved every minute. in the mid 2000s i began working with a fellow dj (adam g) at a place called bar me which was just a bar not a club, but in the first 6 months playing there the profits soared 700% and went from a free bar and having to pay in on the door,so we sat down and thought were on to a winner here and decided to brand our own night and event, and so worship was born. our brand of night went from strength to strength holding down rooms at space, gatecrasher, visage and ethios, garlands and many more,we even ended up with our own radio show on a friday night on dvm radio (dance vinyll masters). i think the reason our night worked so well was because we didnt brand it as one style of music it was straight across the board,if it was a classic then it got played. in 2008 we decided to pull the brand as we both wanted to persue over interests,i decided to take a break from djing as it got to a stage where i stopped enjoying it and felt more of a chore going to work instead of doing something i loved. so now im back, loving my music more then ever and back on the scene :-)

Versatility is my middle name :)) Specialist Dj in Funky / Electro / Tech House Scouse / Donk / NuNRG Trance Dubstep Also producing Remixes And Mashups Follow Me: http://soundcloud.com/dj-ralph-e http://www.facebook.com/DjRalphE http://www.twitter.com/DjRalphE Dj Promo Mixes Of Funky House/Electro House/Trance/Scouse House/Donk/NuNRG And Recently Experimenting With Dubstep. Became a Freelance Dj when in my view dance music was being produced to the highest quality 1998. Back then I was well into the Trance scene doing Trance gigs in UK, Ibiza and Faliraki, In 2004 I started experimenting with other Genres of music including House which opened the doors to many commercial venues playing Funky House etc and had alot of work from those years also staying in the Trance scene for the not so commercial venues. House music got split into many sub genres in the past few years and I took a liking to Electro which gave me opportunities locally to have some of the biggest Electro nights I've seen or had. The commercial venues had now established a good House scene to which I started experimenting with Live mashups and remixing on set which gave me a new phenomenom to give crowds that little bit more to get excited about . I'm now mainly remixing and mashing anything that works well but also as little treats digging out those big tunes from years gone by and throwing them into a mix to take us all back keeping with the Trance / Funky House / Electro House experience. Hope you enjoy the material and I know not everything is everyone's cup of tea.
