Hi all, My real name is Dean Rooker and I am from sunny Wolverhampton! My DJ name is Deanossa, this originates from back in the day when my friend and I used to practice on the decks. It seemed to just pop out of my mates (Phil Turner - aka DJ Burner) mouth one day and its stuck ever since. So there you go, that is how Deanossa was born! I love hard house and hard trance, I have done since my early teens. I used to go clubbing galore at some top clubs around the country and go to some amazing events such as Mezzanine May Day Ball, Gatecrasher Summer Sound Sytem and many Christmas and New Year events. I was and still am a follower of Tidy Trax, I love their stuff and to honest I take a lot of insipration from them. I first started out with a pair of Limit Decks and a cheap but solid Numark Mixer, I practiced for hours on end, for months before things started to finally click, however I was held back by my poor decks that used to be almost impossible to beat match despite being direct drive. I finally moved up the ladder to a second hand pair of vestax which were a great step up. My favourites though without a shadow of a doubt, were DJ Burner's Technics 1210's and his Kaos Pad setup. We had some wicked times! Currently I am using new technologies to mix these days and one of the main reasons for this is space. I use MP3's or my preferred choice of WAV files and a Numark NS6 USB Controller which utilises Serato Itch 2. One word to sum up my feelings for my current setup - Awesome! I am very interested in doing any DJ works in Clubs or Parties and I am also extremely interested in learning how to produce my own intro and would then like to step up and produce my own tracks. 2x Pioneer CDJ 800 Mk2, 2x Technics 1210 Mk2, 1x Pioneer DJM 700, Sennheiser HD25 Mk2. I have joined this website as I have a keen interest in Hard Dance music and as a result have got into mixing as a hobby, I will be uploading various mixes in various styles onto the site.I first started to get into rave music with the north east scene and generally the Makina (Spanish Techno) sound, this was the main style of music I mixed and listened to for the first few years. Hard House is also a style I've always liked from when I got into rave music but have never really had one favourite artist, anything I like the sound of I go for.I then got into UK Hardcore in a big way when then likes of Recon, Squad-E and Gammer came about and generally bought tunes around the start of that era, from labels such as Next Generation, Blatant Beats and Raverbaby, although I've always been a fan of Quosh. As for more recently I have tended to buy UK Hardcore from new artists, if at all.After UK Hardcore I got into the Hard Bounce style a little, but got bored quite quickly. After a year stopped buying tracks.The next genre I found I enjoyed was new Hardstyle from such artists as Activator, D-Block And S-Te-Fan and Showtek, although I've found the genre has now become quite stale.Until recently I bought mostly Hard Dance in its various forms but still have a soft spot for the New Makina sound. I would say i'm 99.9% digital these days.With regards to Makina I've been getting into it quite a lot again and have bought a decent amount from Japan, who now seem to be the guys who make the best stuff. Starting buying the oldskool cd packs and tapes. Used to have parties at mates houses smashing the oldskool sound out the speakers, what memories i had back in the day. When i was about 20 yrs old i went to my first HTID rave and my god what a night it was, since then i have been going to many raves including HTID, UPROAR, RAVERBABY, and many more. When I used to go to mates parties i used to have a lil go on the vinyl decks and have a little mess about but never actually thought of buying my own untill 2 years ago. I'am now 28 years old and as been mixing hardcore for about 2 years, I do mix other genres including drum n bass, bassline house and speed garage. Yes i have got into it a bit late, i do wish i started djing long time ago, but now i got my own equipment, i can start to practise more and more. I never ever thought i would be playing in clubs, but x-treme-energy events have gave me that opportunity to play and now iam a resident DJ.
